  1. All I've seen on the boards recently are: A copy not able to sell at $400 shipped and yours that was listed last night... I think $325 + shipping may be the new easy sell price point.
  2. Great question. This evening I decided on the latter. I grabbed 20 copies of Cover A vs. 1 copy of the CBLDF variant. The reason is based on Saga #1s recent performance. A 9.8 Saga #1 RRP recently sold on eBay for $325. A 9.8 Saga #1 1st Print sold for around $77. I preferred to chose the 20 x possible $77 ($1540) vs. 1 x possible $325.
  3. As Nico pointed out...let's discuss issue #5... What did everybody think? I liked it a lot. Brought the book back up to issue 1 and 2 level.
  4. Giving up the registry?? Thinking about it The Mayans were right... First ChadH and now dhurley...
  5. I did not mean to forget your invaluable service to the SS game. The stories told of your skillz in getting signatures are legendary. With you on their side no person will miss that desired creator or celebrity.
  6. Is anyone else happy that it didn't fall prey to an instant sellout and a 2nd print coming out when issue #2 is released, like almost every other Image title? To me it means that if it gets better and better (and more people want it) there is a smaller pool of 1st issues to draw from which will drive the price of issue #1 higher and higher for those that want to complete a set.
  7. Re: Branget Humor and sarcasm aside you will not find someone else as open, honest and willing to help new members. Especially within the realm of The Walking Dead, which is his primary money maker. Try asking your LCS owner how to make money in direct competition with them. It won't go very well. (Also, I'm not typing this just because he told me about Y The Last Man and that book is the bee's knees) I've said it before and it bears repeating, if you want to look for successful models for modern comics you have two options on these boards: Branget and BeachBum. Learn from them. Watch what they do. Ask questions. They give advice: listen to it + augment it to your needs + put it in action = make money.
  8. That is it. I was showing portions because the detail in the drawing is awesome. Don't know why it still lists it 'on hold' as I've had it in hand since last Monday. I loved the image since i first saw it on the DCBS website. When I saw it was for sale...I jumped on it. Got lucky that the book was as awesome as the cover.
  9. I liked the changes as well. He is going to end up the exact same evil that we know. It's nice to see him playing it 'intelligently' like Ben Linus versus 'brute force' like Major Blood. (I had to do it) I hope everything shown in the trailer is from S03, E01.
  10. Another 'detail' before it is framed...
  11. Packaged very well. Accurately graded. Thank you.
  12. The way I judge unsettling is if I'd want the art on my wall to look at repeatedly. Top five: Lori and Judith (aftermath) Tyrese (multiple chops) Carl (saying 'Dad') The scene at night where Carl, Rick and Abraham are attacked (specifically the one panel of the guy pulling at Carl's pants)
  13. Just finished it. Very good. They even made a soundtrack ep. http://sonomorti.bandcamp.com/album/the-revival-ep
  14. Just got one of the five compendiums mentioned on twitter as available in the web store. I had to create a username and everything.
  15. I wish this would have been a regular sized issue with what occurs in the later portion happening in #101. The over abundance of variants for this issue was uncalled for.
  16. i do like the artwork -- i have offers on a bunch of my pages, and they are really fair offers, but i just dont want to sell them yet --- i love trading, buying, selling, its fun... the page you sold me to complete that 2 page scene is in my perm. collection -- i must have bought that from you close to a year ago now, no? i might be wrong on my assessment for the long-term health of the series and the value of the OA, only time will tell -- *Quoted for posterity Dude, did you just quote yourself? That is like, liking your own Facebook post.
  17. here's a 'detail' of what arrived today...
  18. Who owns the rights to Daryl and Merle? (AMC) Who has a videogame coming out? (the Dixon brothers) Who pays more? (WD + ToT) I foresee Daryl joining the comic. Synergy and branding and all that corporate stuff... Also...post #666...
  19. Dre, are you referring to a cover that might be exclusive to this set? http://www.skybound.com/skybound/2012/7/2/just-another-manic-monday.html
  20. My 9.8 #48 with Lori sketch by Charlie isn't going anywhere. The rest of the keys? If the price is right, they will all find new homes.
