  1. Looks good! May run out and purchase a couple. Thanks for sharing!
  2. in early 2010, I wanted to conduct a personal research of the encapsulation of comics after reading a "raw vs. subbed" thread on ComicBookRealm.com, as i've never seen a "slabbed" comic; bought a Sandman CGC 9.2 off of eBay to experience holding one in hand... After reading some exciting threads, buying books from very nice boardies on the forum, and submitting some of my own books, that research has now turned into a daily read of the forums and submissions on occasion to this day...
  3. Never thought i'd ever acquire a copy; purchased a few months ago...
  4. Sounds like a very nice project, Buzz! I agree, those purple bricks are hard to get... Have you tried putting it through a virtual modeling program, via LDraw or MLCAD? Yes, the one thing I am completely inept at is linking up things in LDraw no matter how often I rotate the screen. I understand how to use it and have the mindset to realize what I want it to look like in three dimensional space. The problem is actually making everything align on the computer screen. I am always one stud off or it is it is a plate level too high or something like that and it throws everything off. Understandable... I was working on a wing variation for set #7181 using MLCAD; a small group of parts wouldn't line up like I wanted... may take a bit of playing around with the program...
  5. The TB in my registry was a very blind leap of faith; purchased from eBay raw from a seller ( fgarcia1007), who pretty much guaranteed it was a 9.8 in his/her listing ... after a month and a half, the courage was built up to submit it ... thank goodness it came back with the grade I wished for...

  7. Received the books purchased from Andrew's latest sales thread today; 5 stars in all areas! Thanks, Andrew!
  8. Purchased 3 polybags last Friday; when I arrived home I lined them up, and used a randomizer app to guide my choice as to which ones to open first & second. The 1st one was the color... clean with no apparent defects or dings... the 2nd one was the pencil sketch, which has a small NCB ding near the upper left corner, along with 2 small NCBs on the back cover spine... all look like it could benefit from a nice press to take them out... I also went back and bought 2 more for a co-worker after letting him know about the polybag issues; will chime in soon after he opens his couple to see if he scored any sketches or not... Will open up my 3rd one when coming home from work tonight...
  9. Very sad news... Many condolences to family & friends R.I.P Howard

  14. If you entertain veteran discounts in your listings, request a pic/scan of this form from the individual asking as proof of their service: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DD_Form_214 Ive never see that one. I always discount active members as soon as I see the APO address. The APO addy is good verification as well. I personally like to thank you, Escaflown4, and/or other eBay sellers that offer vet discounts, active or retired. As a vet myself, it's very much appreciated. I never ask for discounts; serving my country & retuning home to family, friends, and the beloved hobbies is good enough for me... (thumbs u
