I know I would try to make things right if the situation was reversed. I don't think the 6 month time frame is relevant.... that's simply how long it took for the pressing and grading to take place. I'm not saying he should give me a full refund or anything, but maybe a small gesture or a discount on something in the future would be nice. If nothing else an acknowledgement of my PM. Luckily it was only a $175 comic and not a thousand dollar comic. But spending the $ getting it pressed & graded only to find out the cover is married kind of sucks. I almost feel like cracking it open to examine the staple positions on the inside(I may have actually just assumed it was unrestored because I bought from a boardie)

I don't know how rare these are but I just got them back from CGC so I thought I'd post them.

Both of these I was hoping for an 8.5 - 9.0. A 7.0 on #6?

All the following comics I had pegged as getting a full grade higher than what they've gotten. These were SO nice. There's no grader's notes listed on the invoice so I can't tell what's wrong with them.

Does anyone even collect these Disney movie comics? I hope disney does remakes of both of them. I had both of these pegged as 9.8s ......... I'm still satisfied. The Blackbeard's Ghost turned out to be the single highest graded on the census. woohoo

I bought a raw high grade Silver Marvel 6 months ago from a long time boardie. I sent it to CCS for a press and then on to CGC and it came back today as a "Qualified". I contacted him 3 days ago and haven't received a response even though I know he's been on the boards in that time. Should I just suck it up as the risk of buying a raw comic or should we be held to a higher standard here on the boards. I'm not a huge fan of qualified especially when I'm expecting a Blue label. BTW, I'm not accusing him of any hanky panky. I'm experienced and I didn't notice it had a Married cover.... he might have missed it too.

So let's restate.... 1) Printed at the same time as Cent copies with the same ink on the same paper. 2) Printed in vastly smaller numbers, creating instant scarcity. And THAT'S why we love our Pence copies (disclaimer.... I only own 1, but I do love pence copies)

Strange Worlds 3 (Frazetta art!!!) & Strange Planets 1 - raw - This listing is basically for the SW3 because of the Frazetta. I'm adding the SP1 as a bonus because of the cover swipe. Strange Worlds 3 is low grade. 1.5 at the most. Piece missing lower right. Tiny piece missing on free edge of back cover, tiny round piece missing on back cover. The cover & CF are firmly attached at the staples. There's some moisture stains and a little rippling but the book still basically retains a supple feel to it. The staples (which are original) show no rust at all. There's a small stab that starts on the back cover that goes thru much the comic (see close up pic). The stab is hardly noticeable within the comic (I was almost finished examining the whole comic before I found it). A bug has chewed a tiny hole through the margin of many pages (look at the bottom of the CF pic). The Frazetta story (invasion from the abyss) has 7 pages of art and is masterful. ALSO a Malu Slave Girl Story. Strange Planets 1 would grade in the 3.0 range. Cover is still attached at both staples (barely at the bottom). CF is detached from the top staple. $220 $210 for both
