  1. Jenna Coleman That sig fee is killer though
  2. - RDJ is sold (as much as I didn't want to, gotta pay off that credit card bill). - Chris Evans is not for sale (maybe...). - Andrew Garfield show here, is not for sale (kinda hoping to get Emma Stone someday). I have another one for sale, with JK Simmons' sig, in my sales thread (on pg 2). When and how did RDJ happen? That's my white whale, good job on that one (thumbs u
  3. We did the same thing! Thought we were going to get some insight but it was just made up nonsense. Did like the "Waynetech-Queen Inc Merger"
  4. Pre selling is always a double edged sword. I would have done the same thing. Honor previous arrangements but those that think they will get "something for nothing" end up paying or literally with nothing
  5. It seems like the buyer was stringing to along to buy time for him to sell to a third party. only way I do that deal is if he accepts a ZERO return policy under any conditions. you give him a tracking number and you're done. if it gets lost, not your problem, his problem, if it's not as the final buyer expects, not your problem, his problem. if he doesnt accept that condition you say no deal. Say you cant guarentee that he'll be a happy customer (since the book isnt going to him) so you arent comfortable with the new sales terms the mid-buyer has placed. if he is happy to have it paid for by him, and shipped to him (the mid-buyer, not the final flipee) then you'll do the sale. Otherwise it's accept the no condition no return policy +1.5

  7. Thanks for the info! Those older toy comics are almost impossible to find locally, but maybe I have to look that much harder
  8. I've never seen the 2nd print before but I'll be looking now (thumbs u
  9. From my experience, Todd McFarlane was arrogant. Refused to sign anything unless it was a scheduled signing. So if you waited all day in a hallway to catch him, he would tell you to kick rocks. During one of his signings he stayed later than the scheduled time to get everyone, which I thought was really cool. When I made it up to him I said "Thank you for staying, I really appreciate it!" Without even looking up he mumbled "yeah", signed my book and just moved them along. Chris Claremont was cordial but bored and dismissive. Bendis was similar but not as bad. Every interaction I've had with Rob Liefeld has been positive. When I told him I thought he was one of the nicer ones he was actually surprised. Matt Fraction is one of the coolest along with Sylvestri (and Bridget) and Whilce Portacio too.
  10. Great looking books! Here are the two I got in last week This one a I may have to press and resub (maybe when he's closer to becoming cap) Big thanks to JJ and Kevlar
  11. Good question... How did WD get to AMC? What's a bigger obstacle do you think? I live in L.A., maybe I should go to a taping and try and slip her a trade
  12. Bingo. Only diff is that the emphasis is on female readers as opposed to collectors.. Thats the reason why the TPB hold a #1 spot. It is an EASY book to market to everyone based on commercial value and appeal... Wanna buy your GF a cool gift? Get her a Rat Queens Tee Wanna buy your niece a cool read.. There you go.. Rat Queens TPB Once they get it.. Theyre hooked.. Cant do that with any other book that I know of today. I already said it before.. This doesnt even needs a TV show, its just INEVITABLE.. It only needs a female celebrity tweet (selena gomez, Miley, Rihanna..).. A talk show recomendation (The View, Ellen Show, etc..) and BOOM This one screams cross over all around it. 20,000 print run of #1 is NOTHING if this gets to TMNT levels, which in my belief, it would. Before you posted this, did you take some ecstasy and start listening to some zesty, zesty Trance? I love my fans they follow me everywhere "zesty trance" reminds me of the 90's I agree with the potential of RQ, it's on the cusp of being white hot. By the way, is your name a play on "Law and a Order"?
  13. I am curious to know that as well. Oldman was at Wondercon doing a panel. I would assume it was witnessed after the panel was over before he could escape. I believe there was a booth signing, promoting PotA
  14. I just bought my wife the first trade because she's been wanting to read something after she lost interest in WD. I think this will be perfect for her. Edit: I've been following with the floppies but I'm behind 3 or 4 issues (don't care about spoilers).
  15. - This was sent while there was a thread being updated here. This got sorted out with a phone call but bad feelings obviously lingered. So then we come back to the thread and it starts out OK, I guess. Lockford does a general paragraph_long_rant - but the order isn't yet cancelled. The reaction to the paragraph is understandable to some extent, re-using "hell" probably reminded the seller of his earlier "unknown/confused?" buyer. Examples of reasonable comments ruined by something better left unsaid are below - I think it's frustration being expressed - take away the underlined parts below & this deal might have been done. Then all the dots get connected by the seller & Shark posts what was likely the final nail in the coffin of the deal. Boom: Order cancelled, refund issued. There are none of Lockford's words quoted in this, he has said some pretty dumb stuff, his reaction to the PL nomination hasn't been good. I feel that if he and Shark don't sort this out that Lockford probably should go on the PL. I don't necessarily think it is a slam dunk, I do believe that since the seller is unfamiliar with the PL process & clearly still hot under the collar that we should probably wait, maybe even let the 72 hours run its course to see if someone cools down enough to extend an olive branch. I just can't believe that two people who talked on the phone can't work this out. I think both parties share the blame in this falling through & I'd much rather see the parties sort it out than for someone to end up on the PL. Well said
  16. Because everyone knows all they have to do is ask. ....so, how about that #7 Ghost variant? Double signed with a signature series label? :o

  18. Why wouldn't you have a #1 or #2?
  19. Figured I would post these before they were completely overshadowed by the awesome books getting done this weekend. Thanks to dscott for both: Matt Smith and Karen Gillan Gift for friends, big fans of SoA. Ron Perlman
  20. These were my favorite cards when I was younger! I used to turn them into 3D cards by cutting a double and sticking it on top
  21. We just witnessed some real giving! Throw up that "take it" Chip
  22. Weren't you the guy ripped off by some scammer? If that was you - take this with shipping on me mate.
