  1. Greetings FF collectors! I had owned a FF # 4, CGC 4.0 since 2010. I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded this book. Ben, forgive me. I purchased this copy from Bob Storms and couldn't be happier!
  2. I received the same grade on the FF # 5 and FF # 50. The FF # 9 dropped from a 7.5 to a 7.0. All three were in Voldemort slabs and dropped at the NYC Comic Con.
  3. Beautiful FF # 11. I am hoping that before I leave this earth, to see an 11 this nice in person.
  4. Fantastic Four # 39 purchased from Bob Storms. I cannot believe that I got this grade!
  5. FF # 7 from the Tongie Farm collection. Included is the tanning that most of the Silver Age books possess!
  6. FF # 6 won on Comic Connect for a steal! I had been chasing this book for a while and an upgrade to my CGC 6.0!
  7. The grades on my books are dropping, but the books are still classic! FF # 30 purchased from High Grade Comics.
  8. Thanks Ben, concerning the avatar, that was the FF # 1 that got away!
  9. My last 9.0 FF from the Silver Age! Straw-Man, I’m not worthy!
  10. To give full disclosure, I had the book pressed by CCS.
  11. Just as a follow up for this book! I was pretty happy and surprised with the grade!
  12. It was a 9.0 in the other holder! I thought CGC would downgrade it a bit because (well just because)! I was quite happy with the results and now the book is where it should be. Thanks Lou.
  13. My FF # 5 is trimmed unfortunately but it still presents well!
  14. I purchased this book about two years ago from Best Comics in New Hyde Park, New York. I originally had the book in "the other guys holder." I brought the book to the NYC Comic Con in October to have it CGCd. The book came back in less than a month!
  15. I bought my FF 52 from them in 1983. That is the last purchase. I still have that book.
  16. A different topic entirely but Time Payments have allowed me to purchase higher grade Silver Age over a period of time. Bob Storms is very generous with Time Payments on a book.
  17. FF # 39 just purchased from Bob Storms. A nice copy.
  18. Thanks for your comments. This picture is after the color touch removal attempt. This is not the best picture but the boardie took out a small piece on the monsters arm based upon the grader notes of the other company. When it came back in the purple slab from CGC we realized that there may be more color touch on the cover so it’s better to leave it alone at this point.
  19. I bought this book raw in 2015 from a dealer. I had it slabbed (not by CGC) and it came back a 4.0 with minor color touch (a dot on the monster's arm). I then spoke to with someone here on the boards and he made an honest attempt to remove the color touch. Unfortunately it still came back with with minor color touch. Hey, we tried! I'm happy it is in a CGC holder.
