  1. Hello All! Let’s try this again Long-time lurker and buyer on the boards - finally hosting my first sales thread . I’ve been selling on ebay (mostly vinyl records, but some comics too) for years with a 100% positive feedback rating (ec_imports is my username), and have made a number of purchases on the boards. First in the thread takes precedence over any PM talks. Regular rules apply – no probies or HOS, etc. Please add $12 to any slab for priority mail USPS shipping within the US & Canada. Sorry, no international at this time. Paypal only please. No returns on CGC graded books X-Men 2 6.5 wp SOLD X-Men 36 9.0 SOLD Weird Science 6 7.0 SOLD X-Men 9 3.5 $165 Please let me know if I can provide any additional info or photos for the books. Thanks for looking!
  2. I just received my books that I purchased through Tim, and I'm super satisfied with the transaction. Great communication, super fast shipping, and the books were packed perfectly. I'll definitely be looking out for his future sales!
  3. Can you look up grader's notes for slabs bought second hand?
  4. Hi all, Have CGC's grading guidelines changed at all over the years? I have a few slabs that have the original/1st gen labels which appear to have been graded rather strictly. Of course I'm far from being a professional grader and have no knowledge of the interior or these books, but figured it was worth an ask. Thanks!
  5. One thing you might want to do is identify where your tastes and any potential financial gain intersect. For example, If Wolverine is your favorite character, you love the looks of that classic cover, AND you are drawn to the potential upside from an investment standpoint, it’s probably worth considering. It’s also worth noting that with the $5k that you’re looking to spend, you’re really not that exposed financially (relative to your net worth). If the absolute worst-case scenario occurs and your IH 181 plummets to 0$ (and how likely is that?), you’re only out $5k and have some killer wall art
  6. I'll take Strange Tales 168 @ 20% off too please.
  7. Take Thor 164 and 170 at 20% if still available
  8. Hi all, Not a huge book, but picked up a decent copy of Thor 126 for a fair price, and would love opnions on the grade. Biggest issue is the spine wear, the dent in the "O" in Thor, and there's a crease in the lower right corner of the front cover. Thanks!
  9. Wow - I'm pleasantly surprised. The shop I bought it from had it listed as Good, and I figured the tears would bring it down a bit. I may have to submit it now
  10. Hi all! This is my first post in this subforum, and would love input on my FF49. I just picked it up today at my LCS, and was pretty excited to happen upon a decent raw copy within my price range. While it presents well, the big area of concern are 4 tears along the RFC. The tears appear to range .5-.75 inches in length. There is also a small tear on the bottom one of the inner pages, as well as some wear inside that I believe is due to a printing defect (wishful thinking possibly). Colors looks great, spine is tight despite the visible wear. Thanks for looking!
  11. Has anyone had any luck purchasing passes second-hand? I'm on the waiting list on their ticket exchange, Lyte, but am like 700th on the list with of course only a few days until the event. I've considered Stubhub, but am concerned about issues with activation codes and such. I'm mad at myself for waiting this long
  12. This little gem arrived from a Heritage auction this week. I've been wanting a nice-looking FF48 for ages but hemmed and hawed for quite a while as the prices continued to climb. Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger on this one, and it's made my week. I've been having to block out regular time slots to just stare at it for a bit. .
