  1. Is comic collecting still safe?

  3. I don't think anyone is ever going to top that set. I have never even seen any multi-packs from the 60's before. I actually thought they didn't even start selling them like that until the 70's. Simply incredible.
  4. Galactus proclaims: [font:Comic Sans MS]You should not hesistate purchasing comics from Mike. He is an excellent and honest communicator who packages with care, charges actual postage cost, ships rapidly, and grades well.[/font]
  5. a better question is who is hotter, mary ann or ginger I'm very, very, disappointed. The answer to your rebuttle has been hashed out decades ago, and the consensus is that Mary Ann is choice. This is no different than the Jan Smithers vs. Loni Anderson debate, which was a very brief one, as the winner of that was incredibly obvious even to someone who was badly near-sighted. I was really hoping you could have provided to me the proper course of action to take with regards to my enquiry. My hopes were obviously set to too high a standard. I now leave empty handed and more confused than before.
  6. Dear G.A.tor, There is currently a copy of Batman 4 for sale that is signed by Bob Kane. The personal inscription on it reads, "To my friend Mark". My question is; If I were to legally change my first name to Mark, and I purchased this book, would that then qualify me to be Bob Kane's friend? Thanks in advance for your answer.
  7. Many thanks for conducting these invaluable tests. I was in the process of searching for methods to actually test the boards I just started using, myself. Your test results are no surprise to me, at all. These are all made in china. Say no more? I'm fortunate that my books spent decades in unboarded bags. I just started using boards a few weeks ago, and as such, your tests confirm my suspicions all along. Unless I see some tests that contradict yours, mschmidt, the boards are all being permanently removed. Thanks again for providing such a thorough test.
  8. Great book. I've had mine (along with #2 - Kirby cover only though) since the 70's. Hopefully you didn't pay more than a few dollars for it, since they are available in great abundance. I never did quite understand why the main character was named The Sandman, though, as Marvel obviously already had a very well known villain of the same name. As well, the name really doesn't associate well with the character itself.
  9. Well then, here's the handywork. The book looks like it was printed a week ago. Not that it certainly couldn't be in such condition, although the clipping of the bottom right corner cover is rather odd.
  10. Hi. First, I've spent many hours reading through these great threads, and I finally decided to register. I thought this would be an interesting addition to this thread: It appears he has a minimum price for his books, and he ensures they sell for that price. One of these books actually sold to someone!: Sorry for the multiple links. Next time I'll stitch them all together.
