  1. I always get a double take when people realize it's literally only the front cover. Even still. Hoping to one day find a remainder copy to marry it to, but not holding my breath.
  2. Last up is a set of Wolverine Limited Series 1-4. Condition averages VF/NM. See photos for more details. Purchased several decades ago and stored ever since. Books have not been cleaned/pressed. Price: $300 $250
  3. Lastly, A full run of Marvel Secret Wars 1-12. Original owner who bought them off the rack at Royal Collectibles, here in NYC, read them once, bagged them and kept them until now. Condition ranges from VF+ to NM+ from what I can tell. Never dry cleaned or pressed, would help the technical grades. Can provide more pics if interested. Price: $600. $500
  4. First up: Saga #1. First Print. Raw, seems to be around a 9.0-9.4. I'm always bad at grading books from 9.0/9.6 range so please see scans for more details. Purchased new off the racks, never read, bagged and boarded until now. SOLD

  9. Unless my memory is failing me, my old boss/ original mentor who schooled me about all the great comic artists, bought the original cover art to issue #1 back in 1985(?) and has it to this day.
  10. Hey everyone, I'm very interested in finding the cover art to Scooby Doo #1, from the 1995 Archie series. The artist is Lee Weeks. Also... and I know it's a longshot-- I'm looking for any leads on Walking Dead issue #48 pgs 1, 3, 8, 9, 11, 12 & 17a. I've included picture of the pages below: (I am already aware of pages 13,14,15 & 22 that have been posted in private galleries on CAF.)
  11. Finally added my first real non-walking dead art to my collection: Link to CAF page with description
  12. Staples are present (Dr Strange story isn't at centerfold). From what I've seen you can request a qualified label, but they will also grade a book like this Universal but it would likely be a .5 or 1.0 at best.
  13. Hey everyone, Have a comic here with, what should be a straightforward grade, but still wanted to ask the community. The issue has 5 binder holes through the book. As you can see in the photo of the Dr. Strange story, the hole do clip tiny portions of story text on some pages. Has a slight spine roll, but I figured considering the binder holes, it's not hurting the technical grade at all. So what do people think. 1.0, or .5 with pieces missing slightly affects story? Or, even yet, is this a .5 Incomplete?
  14. I'm at a 1.5 bc of the staining. Pretty from the front!
  15. Hey everyone, Will be posting a few CGC graded books for sale here. If they don't sell this weekend will be moved elsewhere on Monday. No HOS or people on any naughty lists. Shipping is actual cost to buyer, I will cover insurance. Payment by check, paypal, or venmo (fee free payment preferred~). Offers are welcome! Feel free to send questions or offers via DM, but the first person to claim the book in the thread wins it. No returns on CGC graded books.
  16. Anyone submitting Restored books should expect a Restored label. Anyone submitting a Conserved book should expect a Conserved label. Every book with tear seals or reinforcement done with archival tissues and wheat paste, that I submitted prior to 2021 received the label: Conserved Now, the same exact procedure will produce one of the following at random: Conserved A-1 Restored B-1 Restored C-1 Restored (and in some cases C-2 because they incorrectly described reinforcement as piece-fills) I say at random because if submitted for re-evaluation these same books will and have received the correct Conserved label. I should not have to submit a book twice to get it in the correct holder, it should be done properly the first time. As it stands I was told last week by someone high up at CGC the best thing to do moving forward is include a list of work done on book(s) to help them with evaluation. While I never had to do this in the past, and never had problems with label types, I will do this moving forward. However, as of right now I have plenty of stories from colleagues doing just this and books were still mis-labelled/ described by CGC. So it's better than nothing, but until internal education & change happens with the graders I'm not holding my breath.
  17. While there is overlap between Conserved & A-1 Restored labels, there are some distinct differences that separate the two. For example, A-1 Restoration can include color touch, pieces added and specific types of cleanings - none of which are acceptable in a Conserved grade. You are continuing to add confusion to the thread by asserting ambiguous statements which are incorrect.
