  1. my lucky stars, nobody took this? problem solved!
  2. this is the gold forum, but I just noticed a run of Marvel keys on second row on the rack that Spidey is selling --from left to right: FF4, FF5, FF9, FF8, FF14, ASM 2 and 8, Strange Tales 101 and ?, Hulk 3...and the row under that has a run of JIMs starting with 83 followed by TTA 35 and a few iron man TOS's. And does it appear the kid has iPhone ear buds in his left ear? That would be an old time hearing aid in the days before miniturization. I hadn't noticed that but it probably went to a battery pack you had to wear around your belt. Not exactly a comfortable arrangement. Some of the kid's on my son's soccer teams have hearing aids that are self contained and much less obvious. We have come a long way. Hats off to those in the medical community who keep pushing the improvements. Yeah I noticed the hearing aids myself as well - and they look like the ones I saw and occasionally wore growing up. They always got in the way, either with a belt clip or a chest harness. The new ones are much smaller thankfully. And digital as well!
  3. Very nice copy. (thumbs u Understatement. That's gorgeous. Just noticed that it's a Gerber 8. Top census copy is an 8.5. Appears as if this copy would grade higher. Didn't realize that it was a Gerber 8. makes me appreciate my copy more - will have to look at it tonight!
  4. Michael is a great seller! Books were packed well and shipped fast. Very pleased with them. Thanks!

    DR.X feedbacks

My son and I had fun going through the free books that Dr. X sent us. Have bought from him numerous times, and the packing is always top notch!!! I always look forward to what offerings he has to put up for sale!
  6. I'm one of the 3 that have not received the books as well. And no response to my PM (not read either as well). I assume at this point I should just begin Paypal refund proceedings until further notice? Or am I jumping the gun here? Start the refund process. If he does get the books out you can pay him again. I received my books from Jeremy around May 4th or 5th. There was an issue with one of the books, and Jeremy was kind enough to give me a partial refund on that book ($10). His last communication with me was on May 6th. I hope that the issue with everyone else's books gets resolved. It's strange that some got their books and some didn't. If it was just me I could write it off as lost in the mail. I paid for mine right after I took it and got the book a few days later. His thread was not finished yet. My guess is, either he got overwhelmed and confused, or something is wrong, but we won't know till he shows up. Hopefully, it's something simple. I was one of the lucky buyers in this mess. I paid Jeremy on April 20th and received the books on April 27th (with a free EC thrown in as a bonus). I truly hope no one ends up out of $$$ on this and that he will turn up and straighten things out. Strange day. On many levels. Wife was cleaning out her car trunk today. Found a package - yep the package from 50s Horror Fan with my two books. She must have overlooked this one when she got the other stuff to bring in the car a few weeks ago. Color me embarrassed. Will cancel the paypal proceedings and revoke my comment in this thread. And I apologize to him for the muck-up (for only my case). I hope the other 2 people get their situation resolved as well.
  7. I concur. And I'm one of the other buyers who didn't get the stuff.

  9. Wow incredible story from Animal Comics #6 - thanks for posting it.
  10. Let me offer another spin on the tough duck interpretation. I think Donald is enraged to see his distant cousin (Gladstone if he's lucky, or is that unlucky?) cooked up and trussed up in a vise that he is trying to free it! Otherwise we see him for who he is, a cannibal!
  11. AFAIK, color innards. Dell4c said they were reprints of the first 4 issue, with a new cover wrap.
  12. The Roy Rogers Annual, even though it has a Dell imprint, was actually printed by Wilson Publishing in Canada. It was available only in Canada as well. It is a reprint of the first 4 issues. Thanks to Dell4c who informed me when I thought it was a "missing" dell book from my checklists.
  13. There's an extra Rocky or two in the box as well. I need to start scanning and grading them and get ready for a....*gasp* SALE!
  14. I picked up a couple of short boxes from the last Heritage auction of stuff from the Gary Dahlberg/Twin Cities collection. Some of the nicer stuff that I needed that was in it (by no means a comprehensive offering!) Also, the FC1349 has the story back, the one I was forever looking for. Glad to get this copy in particular!
  15. Picked up three different Brownies issues over the weekend. Thrilled to add them! Also an excuse to play around with UBB code to see if I can get all 3 to line up!
  16. Sorry Scrooge, I had to you. At least you know I won't snatch it away from you a mere second before. Love this copy, just wish someone didn't try to erase all of the pencil marks off the front cover. Don't worry, we'll find you a copy soon enough!
  17. yes i didnt take the 840, since I wanted the version without the ad BC.
  18. Ad already have two copies of that dernit! sorry
  19. does this have the AD or NON-AD back cover? If it's the NON-AD bc,
