    DR.X feedbacks

Another box in from Dr. X with stuff that I stole from selegue Excellent all around - books, grading, and packaging. Thanks again Tim!
  2. I check into a mental hospital after each Clooneython ends. When I check out, I find my boxes from Rupp. All the cra...p....er.....stuff I bought was received in most excellent condition! Excellent seller. Look forward to the next one.
  3. Hmm, I had to check GCD for info on gold key and found out that Giolitti did Laredo 1 and Gunsmoke 1 & 3, and The Chief #2 (dell). I'll need to check my copies tonight of all those! I also recall that he did most of the art in the Dell Giant of Abraham Lincoln. very detailed!
  4. I concur. Those rocky covers are just amazing. Thanks for posting them hepcat.
  5. ditto, i see a few covers I can contribute to help out too.
  6. This was bugging me as I knew I saw the lantern recently (yesterday when I was cleaning up books!). Thanks to BangZoom for the hint that Scrooge collected this series. FC 159 Donald Duck in the Ghost of the Grotto!

Dealt with Tim many times. Always a great transaction each and every time. Books always are what he says they are, and they get to you safely thanks to his top quality bomb proof packing. Would never hesitate to buy from him again
  8. beautiful Gyros. I must have missed those on ebay! nice pick ups!
  9. I concur with what Scrooge says *gasp*. I do keep an eye out for good deals on lower numbered issues but I am also only focusing on #50-up first.
  10. I've never seen the second one. Are the innards the same as the linen book? What was the date for the second book? Thanks in advance!
  11. True. I forgot to put that qualifier in.
  12. Senormac - found a copy on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-DONALD-DUCK-Linen-Book-Whitman-978-1st-DD-Story-/350277349014?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item518e282e96#ht_500wt_1156
  13. Nope. Large Feature #20 is a Donald Duck paint book. Donald Duck walking along the sidewalk with his 3 nephews in a "dream bubble" The book on the back cover in question is just an older linen-type story book printed by Whitman.
  14. Great copy, Frank! And you know that Four Color 9 is available almost any day you wish to spend the money. However, 29 has always been tough to find in high grade but your day will come. Still, in all the years that Leonard Brown collected comics, the only duck he never found in the condition that he wanted for his collection was 29. This is sadly true. I acquired a nice FC9 over the summer (yes I know, I should have posted a picture here...) and I'm starting to realize that FC29 is much harder to find in the grade I want. I'm not giving up yet.
  15. Bought FC 159 from Jon (PointFive) - excellent communication and book was sent securely. Great seller!!
  16. Bought books from Patrick - arrived safe and was packed well. Good seller!
  17. very nice copy - now I want to read it!
  18. wasn't this cover swiped by DC during the DC run of Tarzan?
  19. +1 my sentiments exactly. I always love seeing what you post, TB, even if it makes my collection look like something one would find under the hamster cage (and it gives me hope that there's still nice stuff out there for me to find!)
  20. WOOT! Something I've finally finished then. Thanks for the link. And I look forward to your reply!
  21. I would love to see any scans you are able to do. +1 Quick question about the cards previously discussed. I went through my card albums and realized I may not need any. Is there any checklist or info online as to all of the cards released with the albums to see if I have full sets or not? Thanks in advance.
  22. You obviously have not seen my collection. It's not as bad as i make it out to be. I should scan a couple that were cut. I have an otherwise VF 4c Donald duck (big top bedlam?) but it's missing the piece you cut off on the back cover. Seller and I never caught it because the front was just so gorgeous.
