  1. He told me that he didn't want to do a rush job, that's why he offered to take it home to do it. Like I said, this was my first and last time that I ever requested a sketch.
  2. Back around 2009 I was shooting the breeze with a couple of boardies at the NY Comic Con. It was Friday night towards the end of the show, when I noticed that Andy Kubert was all by himself at his booth. I decided to approach him and make small talk with him regarding his work on X-men. I noticed that he was selling some sketches of mostly Marvel Super Heroes for $500 bucks. I then asked him how much for a sketch of Wolverine on The Marvel Projects sketch blank. He told he would do it for $500 bucks, but, that he would have to do it at home because he had already committed to do too many sketches for that weekend. I told that I only had $200 bucks and that was all I was really willing to pay for a sketch. He said he would do it for $200 bucks since it was Friday night and he needed beer money. I gladly paid him and gave him my home address and my business card. He told me he would have done in a couple of weeks and then ship it to my house. BTW, this was my first and only time I ever requested a sketch from a comic book artist in my 44 years of collecting comics. Does anyone care to guess how this ended?
  3. Sweet list, are these mostly raws or are there a few graded copies?
  4. What's the the average grade on those bad boys?
  5. Saw it last night with the kids, wasn't really expecting much based on the reviews here on the boards, and...I wasn't let down.
  6. I wonder if Strange Tales #138 is gonna start to heat up after this weekend?
  7. Here's a note that she signed to an apparent "friend" that she met at rehab in the UK.
  8. I was just reading my Marvel Special Edition Treasury "Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back" when I saw this!
  9. This is the direct edition and the "M" stands for Marvel.
  10. Finally saw it today with the family and we really enjoyed it.
  11. CGC never changed the label on Star Wars #42 (first fett in comics) so, I highly doubt that they would change the label on Spidey #410.
  12. I was born in Manhattan 59 years ago and I've never seen it this bad. Ever. Even during the 70's. Unfortunately for me, my job dictates that I sometimes have to go to the worst neighborhoods in the five boroughs.
  13. I think that Vader is playing with Obi, like a cat plays with a mouse. I also think that when Obi and Qui-Gon finally hook up, his old master will straighten him out.
  14. I have to admit this show is a head scratcher, and this is coming from a die hard Star Wars fan. I just hope the last two remaining episodes make up for a lackluster show so far.
  15. Depending on the book, (never had any Spawns) I usually start at $499.00. Although, I've had some 9.8 newsies sell for as much as 1K.
  16. Shipping is $20.00 via Priority mail anywhere in the USA. Insurance is included. International boardies pay exact shipping. PayPal, Venmo & Zelle accepted. First snaps it up. No probies please. No returns, unless books arrives damaged. The Zombies #3 used to be a CGC 9.6 from 2007 that I cracked open for a Hugh Jackman signature that never materialized. Take both books for $500.00.
