  1. I remember when i won the GR DD#10 CGC 9.2 on eBay (at the end of the year 2005). I was aware that Brad was the GR collector but i also wanted a few ped books for my high grade DD collection (i already had Western PA, Winnipeg, Curator & Oakland copies). So i won the GR book. And i didn't know at this time what was the eBay's id of Brad, and that i was bidding against him. Brad congratulated me for the win. All is said. And if one day i must sell it, Brad will be the first i'll talk to. (i didn't forget that it's Brad who PMed me in 2004 when he was selling the Curator copy of DD #39). Oh and btw, this is my 3000th post Congrats, Dave. And thank you! (thumbs u
  2. I've never operated that way Doc, and I'm not going to start now.
  3. The little pink flower stickers on the back covers.......
  4. The dealer that I bought the Batman Annual from has about four more Green Rivers sitting in plain sight on the internet. Once I get a little more cash, I'll move on them and post them here.
  5. .... and thank you frankiecastle. (thumbs u
  6. Less whining (not you, Doc). More pedigree books! Green River Batman Annual #4:
  7. Neither. No relation at all. The OO was a suspect at one point, but was cleared.
  8. I don't know how many hot pink corner boxes there are on Silver Age Marvels....but that one does kinda stand out. One of the great Colan/Subby covers. Red
  9. And (the first time this book has ever been seen in a scan....) Tales to Astonish #80 Green River. (I won't be posting these in my sig.) With thanks to boardmember frankiecastle.
  10. Oh...and here are two new arrivals. Batman Annual #4 Green River: (no date stamp on this one).....
  11. The interesting thing is that when this guy contacted me about the Green River website about two weeks ago...he expressed surprise that I even collected Green Rivers. That might have something to do with the fact that I don't pound it over everyone's head constantly. I do not mind competing. I don't presume that every Green River should come to me. Far from it. And my track record on the boards speaks for itself. I could never have collected what I have, and I certainly could not have built the database (which contains many many books that I do not own and reside in the collections of others) without the help of dozens of individuals on these boards, who I try never to miss an opportunity to thank and acknowledge my gratitude towards. I'm as competitive as the next collector when it comes to my area of interest, but this is ostensibly a community. I was taken aback by the dishonesty of this guy (now in his third incarnation on the boards - as he burns one bridge by off board members and then moving on to another identity) who told me initially he would be happy to work with me, and then backed right off of his word as soon as the next available GR came up on Ebay. I'd be happy to go into the details of how he requested my high bid on that one book that he said he'd step aside on. I reluctantly gave him that information, and he used it to throw in a monster last second snipe and ultimately pay about four times what the book was worth. Takes brains to do that and tons of character, right? So now he's in the process of burning another bridge. He seems good at that. He told me he appreciated the work I had done in inspiring his decision to collect Green Rivers. Nice way of showing it. And he may be the only one on the boards who doesn't think his posting of his wins in his signature is meant as anything but antagonism. Where's that Flash you bought with the cool double cover? And I'm the sad little man? Grow up. So this is where we have come. What a waste. I will continue to work on my database project and I do hope to inspire others to take an interest in and COLLECT Green Rivers. Unfortunately, the hobby inevitably spawns it's share of dyspeptic misanthropes who think this is just about ego gratification, beating down the other guy, and accumulating their current interest as quickly as possible, at the cost of any kind of comradery or cooperation. I think his entire pattern of behavior has been extremely shortsighted. In closing, it's obvious this character wanted attention. Well, he's got it now. Red
  12. Ask Thomas. Actually, now that I think about it....if you want a quicker answer...... ask Greggy! (thumbs u
  13. The Green River Database has been updated for today. All galleries included. www.macartistry.com/greenriver
  14. btw....forgot to add your TTA75 to the gallery. My apologies. Will be adding that today.
  15. I think you just earned yourself your own gallery on the Green River Visual Database Website. (thumbs u It's.....supposed to be an honor! The Committee PS.... there isn't a single piece of information on Goon's new custom page that isn't easily available on the internet. Final prices for books won on Ebay, Pedigree and Comiclink are sitting right on the sites themselves. As for "private information", there isn't a single piece of information posted that could be considered private. I think when you lied straight out about being willing to work "together", well, all bets were off. End of story. Stop being a drama queen.
  16. Thomas, I've been unable to avoid noticing that you are going to add every new Green River to your signature, along with banners and other assorted visual clutter. So we here at the Green River Pedigree Visual Database have decided to make life a little simpler for both you and your fellow boardies...by awarding you..... YOUR VERY OWN BRAND NEW 2008 GREEN RIVER DATABASE GALLERY!!! We apologize for the lack of links to big scans....those will be added shortly. If there is any data you find inaccurate, please let us know asap! Carry on! The Management
  17. I always liked that PC sticker. Sweet books, Panth! (thumbs u
  18. So where are the others already? What are you doing, stretching these out one a day? Show your books, man!
