  1. Great looking books! Love that FF 28! Brad
  2. Being a born-again Curt Swan fan....I love 'em for their beautifully rendered sense of the mundane.
  3. Yeah...but they're both red. Grampy Red
  4. Huh....six week difference in the dates. Quite a gap.
  5. Here's a set of triplets from the same pedigree. I have three copies of Strange Tales #138 from the GR collection. Considering there were multiple copies (9) of this issue in the collection, it's not that mind-boggling. But it is interesting to think that these three books arrived in the same bundle, at the same store 43 years ago....got stamped at the same time....and now are back together and sitting side by side four decades later. I'd say the raw copy is at least a 9.0. Red I recall that there is at least one other board member with a copy of this book from the GR pedigree....but I can't recall who it is.
  6. I agree 100%. My first issue bought off the stands when I was a kid was #54....and you can imagine the major mind expansion I experienced over the next 8 months, reading Jack and Stan and Joe's brilliant work! Changed the course of my life. One of the reasons I'm a commercial illustrator today.
  7. Right. Who you bought it from, and when is important to note. If it is a well known dealer, who has a history with the pedigree.....it makes it that much easier. Like when I bought a lot of Green Rivers from Harley Yee.
  8. Yes. That's what I'm talking about! Unfortunately, I don't have the GR issue of that ST.
  9. It's a very early CGC book. Note there is no PQ on the label. It was graded on July 5, 2000.
  10. I'd be curious to hear him tell us what peds he has of his "precious".
  11. It's not new......but I do get a kick out of seeing the same issue from different peds side by side. I wonder how many pedigrees we could line up of a particular issue. A little hard to coordinate.....but it would be something. Red
  12. Super Sweet! You gotta' get that White Mountain website up sometime! My GR copy of ASM 42 is one of my favorites...... not uber grade but much loved!
  13. Nik "Collection". Of course if he met you in a hotel, and pulled out a bag of gold coins and displayed a gun.....it would be a pedigree.
  14. Thanks Danny. Here's the Jimmy Olsen Greenie I picked up last month from October. And thanks to the board members who kindly alerted me to it's appearance in the sales forum.
