I know that there is more experienced people than me on this subject but I can tell you what I did at WWChicago. I took my slabs to the cgc booth and Gemma opened them for me and put them in protective sleeves. From there the comics (with the label inside) were with me as I was whisked around with MrMylar and another witness. Everybody I've experienced has been great handling the books the generally touch the outer edges and that is it. Even Chandler Riggs took care of my #3 when I had him sign it. Will they all come back 9.8's that I sent in? Lets hope so. ps Make sure you can get all the autographs before you open them. I had a problem opening a comic to get Norman Reedus to sign and ended up not being able to. The comic had to be regraded for nothing after that. Eh, what can you do.

Sadly that's the only way hollywood knows how to market anymore. Put the biggest fights, the final death, and the best jokes in the previews. Then you just pay to watch the filler stuff.

Branget you hit on this, it is easier for someone like me to just buy a comic with a 9.8 for say 30-40 than buying the comic, waiting for a con (I don't like mailing in comics), driving there, paying for the ticket, then getting it submitted. Especially if said comic comes back 9.6, then it would all be a waste of time. I don't generally submit multiple copies of comics either. I'd just be left with a 9.6 to sell on ebay and use the money for a 9.8. Other people may do it differently, this is just me.

Branget I just meant I knew I wouldn't be able to find any of them around my local stores is all. So instead of submitting my own and hoping for the best I just went ahead and bought one. Which I normally don't have to do.

After checking my local stores I went ahead and bought my 9.8 copy from Dre. Stupid black covers.

He changed it "The Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.8! This is The Walking Dead #1, CGC graded at 9.8! It is a beautiful copy with white pages and is a wonderful addition to any collection."

Darkmind, did you send him a message? I'm half tempted to.

I saw on eBay that there is a new variant for the EXPO convention in Canada. Might be a sketch from the looks of the cover I couldn't tell. Anyone else know anything about it?

So I ordered the SDCC poster set from Mike, what can I say other than they came with some bonus goodies and in great shape. I'll be buying from Mike again.

So it's back to $41 now?

Illustrious, I'm scratching my head on this one. I thought it might be something cool for Less than $50 or so. These guys must REALLY want this comic for some reason.

If you tie in Super Dinosaur, Invincible, and Wolf-man in there somewhere this would be completely plausible. It could be like Image United but 'Kirkman United' or 'Skybound United'. Wait... I think I should pitch this idea to him for a percentage.

DHurley1125, I ordered 10 and I believe I'll keep 2 for grading. I might draw on one of them myself and sell the others. They got pretty destroyed on their trip across the Atlantic. brendanb438, She responded to me in less than an hour. Wow, that sucks for all the rest of us. I was really excited to see how much they would have the big twist from 83 for. I guess we'll never know.
