  1. You mean six in the first page of the modern section isn't enough?
  2. I've yet to find any man - or boy for that matter - that likes that guy.
  3. Wait...a magazine filled with women puts a dude on the main cover? A metrosexual at that, do they want to lose readers?
  4. Can we start another thread specifically for the scans?
  5. I was mentioning it because there must be more. I know, she posted about this on twitter earlier today.
  6. Will someone please go look at what a load of different wd 9.8's went for tonight on eBay. I'm dumbfounded right now. What is going on?
  7. I posted in a link in the tv show thread, but it looks like Frank D. wants Jon Bernthal to join him on his LA Noire show he's developing. So it is very possible that he could die soon.
  8. I find it funny that bazzle has been here for only one of the 'moderns heating up on ebay threads' and he thinks he's figured out a scam that is going on. People actually post items that are heating up on ebay here. I know that might seem like a hard concept that one would actually post material relevant to a topic but it does happen here quite often. WDMARVELCOMICS is a great source of some of this knowledge. Bazzle, here is a serious tip though, "blue horseshoe loves anacott steel". Trust me, its a solid investment.
  9. This could be interesting. http://www.slashfilm.com/walking-dead-actor-talks-frank-darabont-la-noir/#more-110454 Frank Darabont, ousted from The Walking Dead, did not waste any time setting up a new television project. He is spearheading a TNT show called L.A. Noir that sounds as if it will tread much the same ground as Warner Bros. upcoming film Gangster Squad, as it follows the extended face-off between Mickey Cohen and the LA mob and the LAPD. Until today all we knew of the show was that Darabont would write and direct the ’40s-set pilot, and produce the show that follows. Now we know that Darabont has his eye on one actor from The Walking Dead to star in the show. But that means possible spoilers for The Walking Dead, so the info follows below. Variety announces that Darabont wants Jon Bernthal to play Joe Teague, the “Los Angeles cop at the center of the show that examines corruption in the LAPD and ties between police and underworld figures in the 1940s and ’50s.” Problem is, Bernthal already has a primary role on The Walking Dead, as he plays second male lead and prime wanker Shane Walsh. Here’s where the possible spoilers come in: Shane doesn’t live through the graphic novel version of The Walking Dead, and if Darabont is trying to take the actor for LA Noir, that suggests the character could meet his demise in the second half of the second season of The Walking Dead, which resumes broadcast in February. The casting deal isn’t yet done, so Bernthal may not end up in the role. If he does get the role, however, it seems unlikely that he’d be able to play lead roles in two shows at once, even if those end up both being ensembles that feature big casts, and therefore aren’t truly centered around any one character in particular. L.A. Noir is based loosely on events that happened in LA in the ’40s, but more specifically it is based on a book by John Buntin.
  10. Kirkman was in town recently I guess visiting his family. He did a signing at a shop called A+ Comics. About 150 people showed up and went through really fast. I think everyone was gone 30 minutes before the whole event was over. Here is a photo of the shop. Here's me with Kirkman. I got some of my OA signed by him as well as this.. Pretty cool event overall, there was a father/son combo behind me who had never even been into a comic book store. The son liked the show and brought some action figures to get signed and got a lunch box signed too. They thought it was really cool that Kirkman worked on so many different titles every month that they didn't know about. I saw one guy getting a sketch doodle on the Ultimate Comics blank, but mainly it was trades, hardbacks, toys getting singed. I didn't see many single issues getting signed. Hopefully next time I'll get more pictures for everyone.
  11. I thought of her as well. Even before she had her scene in True Blood. I thought it couldn't happen but maybe it can now?
  12. Books came shipped perfectly. I've purchased off Ebay as well from Pitboss. You never have to think twice when buying.
  13. Look at the description on this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Image-Firsts-Walking-Dead-1-Variant-Certified-slabbed-graded-Nm-Mt-9-8-/140642728600?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item20bef5ba98 PS. Upon further investigation this person believes every Walking Dead issue is worth 200 at least.
  14. I'm a little confused on the pricing this guy has. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walking-Dead-72-CGC-9-8-NM-M-/390359239595?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item5ae3394bab Kinda reminds me of a blackstar jr.
  15. On new merchandise where the image is drawn by Adlard would Moore get a cut of that since he created how the characters look, even though it isn't his version of it? I was talking to my dad about these the other night where the guys are from Ky and he started asking me these questions which I didn't know the answer to. I figured some of the boardies might know.
  16. Does anybody happen to know how the money is split up for something like TWD? I know Kirkman and Moore created it (Adlard is also mentioned as a creator on the tv show). In having it published by Image, not DC or Marvel, does that allow them to still own all of it or is it divided up?
  17. I feel like everyone I've talked about it to thinks it is 'just some stupid zombie tv show'. They don't realize how much it has to do with the characters. Tonight's episode was a perfect example due to the fact that there were hardly any zombies in the episode until the very end. I think I even have my mom coming around.
  18. This is my problem with movies and tv today. I understand a majority wants this, but at least throw me a bone once in a while.
