  2. some quick fact checking shows the November 16, 1945 as the closure date for the Gila River Internment camp. She would have had to have been out of their before that date
  3. here is the only pic I have of the wow 34
  4. @kevinj no there is no definitive list of books from the Okajima collection:(. We been trying to make one but its pretty hard to do with the limited info we have available.
  5. here is a copy of the CoA from Alan

  8. nods mine is a subby coa. ill still post it in the morning.
  9. Thanks Brian and don't worry. As far as I understand it the original collection was split into a few diff parts. I'm pretty sure the first section sold doesn't have CoA's with them. Also I think there are possible 2 different COA write ups. hence why I was asking if you had one. "Though I'mstill tracking that info down"
  10. I love Archies "eye" line on this cover :0 staring right at the fuzzy boobs very subtle but I think its intentional
  11. Sent the seller a message asking for a copy of the CoA that would accompany the Teen 35
  12. Thanks Brian and I meant scan of the book and of the pedigree books I have seen about half come with a CoA. I was hoping for a scan of the COA if you got one I can scan mine and post it if ya like to show you what the COA looks like
  13. @ @tricolorbrian yes some were in poor condition. most of these don't seem to be slabbed. im linking the fighting yank 23 as an example oh and can you post a pic of your book and pedigree page "of you have one"
  14. adding the shadow to the list. "THANKS :)" I'm debating contacting the seller and asking for a copy of the COA on the TC35 book. I agree its really outside the spectrum of what the OO collected
  15. interesting E-bay listing here. its not the normal focus for the pedigree and may be the collection Oddball if it is infact part of the collection http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teen-Comics-35-Journey-Unknown-Worlds-OKAJIMA-Pedigree-/190511350616?pt=UK_Books_Comics_Magazines_US_Comics_ET&hash=item2c5b5c8358

  20. here is my Okijima book. I know its after the camp days & not coded but I love it just the same
  21. I posted this in the golden age forum, figured I might as well link it here I converted an old network rack into my comic rack. It's not much but its my little slice of heaven
  22. more tales or rip offs on ebay So occasionally I lose common sense and try and purchase comics off ebay. sure enough I got burned at least once if not twice this week. 1st I bought a copy of X-Men 47 for 12bucks. payed for the book thinking all would be fine "its only 12 bucks after all" Just received a message from the seller stating "iam very sry but I posted this book twice and sent it out my mistake iam very sry and I need to cancel this sale .ill try to make it rite for you I got lots more books iam putting up soon ill give you one like a sub mariner or something good iam using my wife name and iam new at posting I messed up a couple not jus this one like I said very sry hope you understand" seriously! I mean honesty would dictate you have cancelled the aucton when you realized you duplicated it. and what the heck ami going to do with junk books I don't collect. /sigh I bought the 47 because it was cheap and I need it for my readers "still missing 44 readers... wait 45 now since this mess" Seconf one I bought a CGC'ed book from a guy ive done business with before. since ive met him in person and bought books from him before isent him cash for the book. that was dec 20th.... still getting the run around about when the book is going to ship I gotta remember to not be so trusting and not to use Ebay anymore. just not worth the heart ache Griff To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here.
