My oddball adventures of collecting GA Don Wislow Books So After much thought and searching I decided to narrow down my focus to a single Golden Age type of book. I took the time to read different books from nearly every Genre. Jungle, War, Hero, Funnies ect. I knew i wanted something i could find relatively cheaply and something that i might even be able to pick upa pedigree run for "long term" That in mind I decided to Collect Don Winslow of the Navy books ! Why you ask? well I enjoyed the stories I have read so far. It has a flair of War era books, Hero Books and some great covers to boot I started off the year by picking up a nice crowley for 50 bucks ! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. the teen comics 35 on ebay has sold. the seller finally contacted me. Was not me who bought the book, but im betting it was this thread that caused a book sitting in her inventory for over a month to finally sell

Even with the additions we are way short of the 415 books from Alan's portion of the collection "confirmed and probable combined is around 120 books". but here is the edited list. maybe they could split the book into multiple parts "like the Gerber books". they could publish what they have finished as book 1 and then do another for the newer pedigrees and the unfinished existing pedigrees /shrug

agree with Miracle, that book does have a distributers code but I do not believe it to be the Okajima code and we would love to see your 51 book

Ill be busy today putting a new master list together for us of the known books. please please please keep posting info and scans. its a big help. Oh and by the by I checked my wings 115 this morning and it does have the standard pencil date on the back cover along with 2 letter "MJ"

(thumbs u I have been looking all afternoon, the books I have will be a later books or I would have found them by now, I will keep looking There is a draft list created for the "upcoming" book on pedigrees. The Okajima chapter was completed years ago. and that book has been "upcoming" for ever ! I sure wish they would get around to publishing it
