I found a nice pic behind the scenes of the production of the CGC Pancake #1's as they come off the presses Correction, I have been informed these are the "Blank" variant covers

so its not a reprint its a re-interpretation.... Kind of like your second attempt at the CGC Pancake #1

Sup's elbow in the reprint is fully colored. in the original there is a spot missing "may be a book flaw hard to tell" Sup's right leg on reprint is fully colored on original there is a spot missing inside Sup's cape the dot shading is different in these ways 1: on his right side it extends all the way to his body on the orginal it does not 2: below his groin the original has no shading the reprint is shaded 3 on his left the reprint is fully shaded, the original leaves a border of red only the roof below the 10 cent, original corner is open, the reprint is closed In the superman logo at the top, the original has red bled over from the letters, the reprint does not by sup's cap the building below him original has small outline line where the cloak comes over the building. the reprint does not

S on chest isn't the same the white flairs on the txt bubble are close but not the same " most notable by the word daring" just above sups hand at the corner of the building the original corner is open, the reprint Is closed 10Cent is off center in the reprint the highlights on the top of "Superman" are all wrong. the "X" in exploits is different

I give the 1st CGC pancake a grade of 2.0 due to burnt edges, and I am betting it has a Cream to off white center

"Much better than I had expected" Notes appear to have made it on the books for the #47 "1st appearance of Singapore Sal " and the Schomburg notes made it on both Nedor books I'm very happy with the grades and as Always I found out I grade way to hard on books. I really need to get better at that

I had hoped to have the tag for my Don Winslow of the Navy #47 reflect that it is the first appearance of Singapore Sal. but no notes on it Also no Schomburg listed on the Black Terror #12 is a bit odd Since I have never requested a note be put on the tag before ,I can't really tell if its going to make it in the tag from this... can you?
