  1. The Hulk vs Thing scan was taken before Ron did touch-ups on the "4" reflection, but it's the only one I have with the "Best Wishes."
  2. Along with Pablo Marcos, GP drew my favorite Avengers issues from the Bronze Age. For me there is no better 'team' artist capable of giving so many characters a sense of individuality on one page. Taken from his family and from us far too soon, this is a devastating loss for all the future fans who will never meet this legend.
  3. My dad said he did it to a Superman #1 when he was a kid. Unfortunately, I wasn't around to stop him.
  4. Tim said it was a sketch for a fantasy project of some kind by Glen Paul Hammond. I haven't found anything that fits, so it may be unpublished.
  5. It's either a 9x12 or 10x14, so i doubt it's a splash page. I was just looking for Vigil art. All I know is it's Lamia by Marat and Vigil. I'll have to ask.
  6. I can't recall any other covers I have that fit. Just this.
  7. Sorry, I thought it meant people who like snake covers, for some reason.
  8. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my tattooist many years ago after he finished with a drop dead-gorgeous young lady in a business suit/skirt. The curtain was closed as he worked, and I saw no tattoo as she left, so it was obviously in a discreet location. I said it must be an awesome job, and he says, "You know, you'd think so, but for every one that looks like her, there are ten that look like you and me." Still, that one out of ten
  9. I loved the first Spider-Man film until there were more films to measure against it. The 2nd was much better. What I do NOT like about the films with Uncle Ben is that instead of just having Ben's murder naturally being a tragedy in itself, they have him and Peter argue beforehand. I suppose it's an unfortunate sign of the times. Maybe the writer[s ] didn't think the scenario was horrible enough by 2002's standards, so they added an extra element that they felt was more relatable to a 2002 audience than it was to a 1962 reader. Whatever the reason, I just didn't like that both Uncle Ben deaths followed a bitter argument. Having one of the two most important people in one's life being murdered should be enough, but they reduced the legendary bond these two had to just an average one that was close to crumbling with one fight. It didn't feel "natural" to this fan, but then, I wasn't their primary target as I'm sure they assumed I and every other fan would by a ticket without question. .It's a character flaw neither character had in AF15. I was relieved they didn't go for the hat trick with the Tom Holland version. In fact, the brief mention Peter[Holland] gave to the scenario (I can't recall who he was speaking with- Stark, probably) was the closest to the true origin simply because there was no hint that there was an argument- Just the murder. It was enough for me to forgive them for making Aunt May "unusually attractive."
  10. As long as it doesn't leave a fingerprint on the cover affecting the grade, I wouldn't sweat it.
