  1. If we only knew. I grew up in San Jose, just across the Milpitas city limit, but moved (1983) before getting into the collecting side of comics. I can barely recognize the area today.
  2. I didn't want to. I really didn't, but the writing is amateur. It's almost like Bail Organa wants Luke and Kenobi found. I picture him ending the communication like Danny DeVito in Ruthless People; "Now that oughta do it!"
  3. True, the bad writing started long before the Kenobi show. If they can write a plot that has Palpatine surviving a fall down a shaft before being vaporized in the explosion, I guess they can write anything into canon. But they couldn't come up with something original and imaginative to explain it. The 'lightsaber to Vader's mask' thing was already done in Fallen Order iirc. But I can hear D+ saying, "That was on the right side of his mask, exposing his right eye. In Kenobi, you see his left eye." Lucafilm
  4. You'd think a dark side user would be a bit more thorough when trying to kill a dark side user. I don't get why anyone would pull the lightsaber straight out anyway. I'd go straight up.
  5. If he's a vegan, I guess he won't be consuming spiders (Last Hunt), unless Sony feels eating spiders needs more shock value and a vegan choosing to eat arachnids is extra-shocking (to vegans).
  6. Because we're able to hear his breathing while he speaks, I always thought of it as some kind of set up that puts his thoughts into words like Stephan Hawking, only with advanced tech.
  7. Shouting is the new 'acting.' And yes, they'll probably make her a hero, even though her idea of revenge is killing innocent Jedi and citizens in order to get Anikin for killing her innocent Jedi friends. If only Qui Gon Jinn knew a lightsaber through the gut could be shrugged off, probably none of them would be in this mess. And if seven ten year-old Leia can fix sabotaged droids and broken hanger doors, you'd think she'd have been able to fix the Falcon all those years later in ESB at least as quickly as Amazing Ray did for that deadbeat loser Solo, who knew nothing about the ship he customized and flew for decades. D+ is not Star Wars
  8. Paraphrasing: "I know we agreed not to communicate, but I was getting worried because I haven't heard from you." The writing I guess they needed a reason for Riva finding the communication, but it's unfortunate they felt the best way to do it is by having mister Bail Organa become a(nother) moronic failure.
  9. This thread certainly helps remind me what I could upgrade.
  10. I've read that due to people smashing their faces with their own hands when airbags deploy during collisions, they say 8 and 4 is safer.
  11. While this is a cool cover, with these two it just doesn't feel right unless they're fighting each other.
  12. I've had the raw copy for many years, but the centering, with part of the CCA missing, always bothered me. I can't recall offhand where I purchased it, but I stumbled across a listing for a perfectly centered copy and grabbed it.
  13. I haven't scanned my latest attempt at upgrading #106, but it isn't much better than the other two.
  14. It's TOD #1 Credit to @steveinthecity
  15. There are two black covers on top of the #4. Must be them.
  16. Marvel Spotlight 3 under the 4. I thought maybe that was the #2 under the 3, but now I don't, though it does seem to say, "NIGHT OF".
  17. People wrote, directed, "acted", and edited this, and were serious about it. Unreal.
  18. I agree, or at least worry it's true. When I first saw this poster, I was looking forward to seeing his and Luke's stories continue. When I look at it now, I wonder who he's running away from. Could be anyone/anything
  19. Silver Surfer #4 about halfway down. Belated credit to @RockMyAmadeus
  20. That looks like either a JIM 83 or a GRR just under the FF15. "ISSUE!" in red.
  21. So... An 11-year-old boy saw comics in an attic, was so amazed he went into labor and gave birth to Dylan?
