  1. I have several trainees (and a grandson) who are very happy I disagree with this. So is my boss. Giving advice based on my decades of knowledge and experience when I see someone struggle with something more often than not makes things so much easier and smoother for everyone. Much better than just letting them learn the hard way, and it makes me feel good that I helped. We had a trainee that simply would not take advice because he already knew it all, so he made several mistakes thinking his way was better. He isn't here any more because mistakes cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. It may not get that bad with comic collecting, but why let someone spend money unwisely (for example)?
  2. I didn't realize it was as black and white as that. The grade number joke was an attack? I remember someone somewhere posted an image of a NM98 CGC 9.6 and asked if it was a newsstand. I pointed out the barcode and also asked if he wanted to know the grade. All in good fun, and I'm glad he survived.
  3. At what point does this consideration end, and you feel you know a person you've never met well enough to justify ribbing or arguing with them? Sure, people can feel they know who a person is from back and forths after a length of time, but that works both ways, doesn't it? Using that mindset, people are just as right about "you" as "you" are about "them", and here we are. I suppose with the changing times it actually will be necessary to assume someone you just met is a fragile flower, who cannot be joked with or disagreed with. Thank God "we" weren't like this before WWII broke out.
  4. I like having that added for the viewer's imagination, letting them create the story that that little 4 suggests. Who answers the call? The rest of the team? The Avengers? I usually imagine Cap and Iron Man.
  5. "You're going to let that bother you?" "No, that would only bother me if it were my collection."
  6. Probably not worth it, though. That's why there's reprints.
  7. I'm tempted to have this hardly rare comic restored just so I can hold the darned thing.
  8. Oh, it's a REAL problem? Sorry, man EDIT: But it's too cool to take down or hide in a spoiler, and we're almost off this page, so...
  9. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if this mindset was taught by a television, or Rap "song", or such..
  10. The 7th addition to my Hulk vs The Thing collection.
  11. Not the best Ms. Marvel, but ANY rendition is better than
  12. I'd like to find a page from Chapter 7 of Avengers: The Ultron Imperative
