  1. Listing has ended for "no longer available." I'm not sure if that means eBay ended it or the seller did because they knew they were outed. They're members since 2007, have 323 feedbacks, all positive, with five low $ non comic related items sold. Does eBay still pursue the matter even if the seller pulls the item before they're able to investigate? Will they even care since the listing was ended? What do they do to these people when they're caught doing this? What I mean is, obviously they're in some way reprimanded (I'd like to think), but is it the same across the board or are certain sellers treated differently than others for whatever reasons? The fact that this list even exists suggests that in no way does eBay warn buyers of moments like this in a sellers's history. Misleading descriptions and undisclosed restoration sellers always seem to reappear, and I've read many threads and posts about these things, but for some reason I have no memory of reading what actually happens to the sellers that have been there a few years with a few hundred pos. fb's (at 100%) who try to sell items they don't have.
  2. eBay seller dbzlol5555 is using woregul's images of the AF15 he sold me in 2012. I still have it, so they're not to be trusted. LINK Have a nice day
  3. The show ended just about exactly as I expected in that we'd have the first-person perspective of whoever was "it" staring at the business end of Lucille. I wasn't expecting we'd actually see Lucille coming down, but that makes sense to me now. Otherwise non comic book reading viewers would wonder if anyone was in any actual danger. I agree it should be a major character, but not sure if they'll go that way. "Rosita" was on Talking Dead recently and seemed kinda down. Twice she said, "It's going to happen to us all" in reference to Denise's fate, so I'm thinking it may be her, if they're going to off a B-list character. I like not knowing who it is. I don't think there'd be as much to talk about during the off season if we did. The only reason I can see them going with who the "shadow" suggests is because the next time we see him, he'll pretty much be a man. But if that's the case, then Rick not freaking out when Negan chose who is "it" makes that scenario seem doubtful to me.
  4. I need an Avengers #1 to complete my 1-100 run Need ASM #1 and #3 to finish my Ditko Spidey run.
  5. Fantastic work, Mio. Really impressive. The fabric folds and light/shadow are excellent, as are the reflections on the metal pots in your still life paintings. A couple of newish still life works for those interested. These are both on postcard sized paper. Beautiful!! +1 Fantastic work with the reflections!
  6. Ah. That's probably old news then, huh?
  7. The link to WHICH BOARDIE KNOWS WHAT doesn't seem to work.
  8. As a kid I can remember everything seemed to take 6-8 weeks. Then came "order by phone" and it seemed to shave it down to 3-4 weeks. Now it's "It's been 3 days! WHERE'S MY BOOKS?!?" j/k
  9. I would do the same thing but with model rockets. I cut a few lawns on the block for two dollars and picked up pop bottles for the nickel deposit. Then it was a nerve racking game waiting for the mailman to deliver my kits. Longest 6-8 weeks of a kids life.
  10. Yes, want to put a wager on it? Me too I am quite sure it wont. Speculators can manipulate and push the price, but they wont see NM 98 prices with any consistency. There were still 200 people last night in the theater for Deadpool. It got an applause ending. Several people asked on the way out who is Cable? He just wont have the mainstream effect Deadpool has. Don't get me wrong he will pull some decent coin for a long time now, but not Deadpool money. I think both will do very well for a long long time. I could see them in multiple movies together crossing over into the x-men movie universe. As far as the movie crowd not knowing who Cable is to me is about the same reaction about Deadpool a couple weeks ago. I was watching the Superbowl with friends (mixture of ages) and very few knew who Deadpool was. I remember just recently my parents asking me about him. I think now he'll be a household name but he wasn't before this film. Same will be said about Cable soon. When Cable has his own Video Games, Merchandise and multiple series like Deadpool I will believe it. Otherwise he is just supporting case. The only way I can see it happen is if they Tie in Apocalypse somehow which can drive his popularity some. So a character is only big if they are in a solo video game, limited solo series by themselves currently? That would eliminate a ton of A-listers in Marvel's bullpen right now. I don't think he meant it that way. His statement deals with Cable's popularity vs Deadpool's.
  11. You're young. Many mistakes ahead- that's life. Just remember true Comic collectors are crazy insane (or is it insane crazy? ). And your BB28? You may want to count the pages. That's a VERY important rule to use when buying key issues.
  12. You PM said "[ I ] Decided to buy it." And then you asked the safest way to conduct a forum sale. And your defense is ... what? That you were soliciting advice on how you'd buy from someone else, but your statement wasn't a commitment to purchase from the person you were conversing with? Really? Is that the Fletch defense? Sorry, but your chances of buying and selling here are pretty much shot with a large segment of the boards after this. If you'd come out initially and said you bought the book in person instead because you were uneasy about making a large purchase online, that might have gotten you some sympathy, but your inaccurate claims of not agreeing to buy the book make that a dead point. And if you're going to parse words now and claim you weren't entering into an agreement to buy the book from iceman399 when that's pretty much all that anyone with any basic common sense would read into that PM, then yours is pretty much a lost cause here. And there's the root of the problem. You don't care about anything but your self-satisfaction. Principle? Don't care. Honoring an agreement? Don't care. Putting someone else into a bind? Don't care. As others have already said, we've had those types come in here, looking at the forum as a way for solely what they can get out of it, rules and practices be damned, and almost uniformly, they leave the way you will -- in disgrace, and completely oblivious to what their actions cost them. As Dr. X pointed out -- the door to leave the forum is right there. I hope you can see your way out. He'll try this on his next account.
  13. I guess I'll find out soon enough if this is allowed or not, but we have someone asking some TMNT 1985 #1-#4 2nd and 3rd printing questions, with a photo link, and none of us there seem to be Turtle fans, so I'd thought I'd bring this to your attention. I've never seen this before, but then I'm not up on Turtle Trivia. LINK I thought I'd try this thread before starting a new one.
  14. I heard they're casting Caitlin Jenner so they don't have to decide... RuPaul would be the "safer" choice.
  15. Scully makes a reference to this in Episode 3.... I was thrilled when she mentioned this. I was beginning to think they would never revisit that.
  16. LINK This discussion is about books, but still seems relevant. if you are really serious, are you planning on spending that much? or hoping/expecting to get outbid and end up with just a few serious wants...? Don't worry...when the Heritage "bump" happens, he will probably be high bidder of a few thousand $$s worth of books! thats still pretty bold to bid that much! especially if not expecting to win. it inflates the prices for the rest of us too... More often than not the "Heritage Bump" will inflate prices. what do you mean by the Heritage bunp? you mean the Heritage employee bump-up of low bid items? Roughly 2-3 days before the auction ends, the bids are bumped up to just below the reserve levels. And keep in mind that the consignors can bid on their own items!great! what a racket! Actually, Heritage does NOT knowingly permit consignors to bid on their own lots, and in fact such permission has never been our policy. Consignors may place reserve bids in advance of the auction (as is the case with virtually all auctioneers), but may not place reserve bids on their own lots during the live session. Our terms have recently been rewritten for clarity. A lot of people seem to have the same misunderstanding, so the confusion is almost certainly our fault, and we apologize for that. Here is the new language: Notice of the consignor's liberty to place reserve bids on his lots in the auction is hereby made in accordance with Article 2 of the Texas Uniform Commercial Code. A reserve is an amount below which the lot will not sell. THE CONSIGNOR OF PROPERTY MAY PLACE WRITTEN RESERVE BIDS ON HIS LOTS IN ADVANCE OF THE AUCTION. ON LOTS SUBJECT TO A RESERVE, IF THE LOT DOES NOT MEET THE RESERVE THE CONSIGNOR MAY PAY A REDUCED COMMISSION ON THOSE LOTS. Reserves are generally posted online about 72 hours prior to the auction closing. IF THERE IS AN UNMET RESERVE BID POSTED ON A LOT, THE CURRENT BID DISPLAYED ONLINE WILL GENERALLY BE ONE INCREMENT BELOW THE RESERVE BID. The Auctioneer will not knowingly accept (and reserves the right to reject) live telephone or floor bids from consignors. Any successful bid placed by a consignor on his consigned lot on the auction floor or by telephone during the live session will be considered an unqualified bid, and in such instances the consignor agrees to pay full Buyer's Premium and Seller's Commissions on the lot(s).
