  1. Can't wait to see what you do with that PL #23. I'm sooooooooo excited!
  2. Sweet pick-up! Love Bronze Age Marvels. Don't forget to check for any pricing variants.
  3. ASMguyyy, those are my fav ASM book. Congrats. Those are beautiful.
  4. I actually bought 10 of them the other one is Boys Commandos #25 but the cover is detached and split at the spine. I put it in the recyclables. He had more issues of the Commandos but all displayed the same defects. detached cover and/or split spines.
  5. I'm a 1st year vendor at the local Monday Flea Market with Memorial Day being the start of the summer long event. I found some great items there last year and was hoping to get to pick the other booths before we opened(8am). Did not happen as everyone was running around like their pants were on fire to get their booths ready. Finally got to poke my nose around the event around noon and came across a mammoth both that had a little of everything. I chatted up the owner a bit before taking look and noticed he had comic books. He had a box of them labeled $1 each. Here's what I found: Yeah, they're extremely beat up but it was a great find, IMHO. He had numerous Four Color books. Said him and his wife buy up comic auctions looking for Disney books and they sell the rest. I told him I collect the superhero comics and he said he ahad a bunch at home and he'll bring 'em in next week. We all know how that usually goes but a man can dream, right? Books are: -Action Comics #105 &117 -Captain Marvel #68 & 79 -Doll Man #12 -Flash Comics 75 -Marvel Family #10 -Mary Marvel #12 -Steve Canyon #2
  6. Was visiting my sister who lives near Green Bay. They had a city wide Rummage in her area so we hit 'em up early yesterday morning. Found numerous deals but the one I really got a kick out of was this one that had Packer shirts and jackets out in front of the driveway. We stop and go in the yard and there are old football cleats, hats, and NFL branded checkbooks and wallets. Turns out the owner works for the Packers. I got these: The sealed boxes of cards were $2 each. Worth it if there's an auto in there and I just love the caps. The production companies would always give him free shirts and hats whenever they came to do a game. Love those old CBS hats. They all were unworn and were a quarter each.
  7. Nothing lame about that set up. Love the bookcase. Ya gotta showcase that Avengers splash though. Don't hide it.
  8. Is it possible to put a simple lock on those glass shelves? Thinking about getting a few for my flea market booth. Also, are the shelves adjustable?
  9. Got this lot of 15 14x36 movie posters for $40 on auction. You could only see the top one which was Madame Kitty, a notorious X Rated 70's Nazi exploitation flick, so I took a chance. Nice surprise on the Mandingo and Cruising.
  10. I thought about collecting this line since I have a really nice Jonah Hex set and a pretty Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love but i can't stand the look of the Digest encapsulated in a regular comic sized CGC holder. Hopefully they change that one day.
  11. Thanks for your thoughts, Mint. I remember checking to see if there were sports games there and there wasn't. Let me get in touch with the guy and I'll get a list of what games they are and more specifics about the system. I remember the boxes for tboth the system and the games being in great shape. I'll PM you with what I find out.
  12. Personally, I don't understand the 1980 cutoff date. That stigma had been associated with toys/action figures since the early to mid 90's, nearly 20 years ago. You think as time marches on, the cutoff date would expand. BTW, I got a guy trying to sell me a N64, mint in box with the Kong rumble/expansion pack and 30 games all with box and instructions. The only game that sticks out to me in the bunch is a Gold edition Legend of Zelda. Wants $100 for the lot. IS that good. I know, check eBay but does anybody have an opinion?
  13. IMHO, for action figures, a good cut-off line would be the TMNT or Power Rangers. 89 or 90? Any of the other vendors plan on carrying Video Game stuff?
  14. Haha. This is what I love about collectibles. You see cards, I see toys. Here's a smattering of the Die Cast cars I got with that He-Man collection. Late 70's and early 80's. Hots Wheels on the Left and Matchbox on the right with the A-Team in the middle. I was never big on cars as a kid but I buy them up when I can because they just fly off the shelves. I never really gave Matchbox a thought until I bought up this collection. Many of the examples found had hoods and doors that opened and they seemed to like to make construction and industrial type vehicles. I couldn't believe the two trucks pictured still had the two motorcycles in the back and I just love the camper and horse trailer. I liked these so much that I might consider collecting these.
  15. Here's what's in the case (I have the comics put away) and the others in my Flea Market booth: Stinkor, Stonedar, Beast Man, Triklops, Grizzlor (?), Ram Man, Stratos, Man at Arms, Merman, Prince Adam, and TWo Bad. There's a few I can't remember though.
  16. The hot wheels show wear but the other lots were very nice. Couldn't believe all the accessories included.
  17. The owner of the shop was working the deal. Believe me, if I was there alone it would've been mine. The FP stuff I remember seeing was a complete farm and many little people along with the old stand byes; the van complete with family and dog, telephone and puppy on a string (plastic wire). All in great condition. I think she got the FP and tonka stuff for $50. I got the MOTU for $40 and The hot wheels, about 50 cars, jammed in 2 Dukes of Hazzard carrying cases, for $25. Included in that was a vintage A-team van. Yippee.
  18. I work at an Antique Shop and this lady came in with boxes upon boxes of toys. 70's Tonka, Fisher Price, and Hot wheels. For the 80's MOTU. She said it was all her son's but man, these pieces were in great condition. I was able to get the MOTU lot. The Castle Greyskull has the best paint I've seen on a loose sample and it's pretty complete. Missing the flag and the cardboard cut outs. The vehicles and cat are complete and the figure case contains 8 all complete (including the mini comic) figures. All in all, about 20 figures in the group. ALso picked up a vintage lot of SW figures(30) with the Rebel Transport and the AT-ST. All loose.
  19. Awesome Spectra Matt! That homage shoots right up to near the top of my favorite shiverbones recreations.
  20. Very lovely home. Thanks for sharing knowing that some people would be offended. When you have the time, what is the piece your most proud of, hunting wise?
