Wow how do do that.. on the video action 1 9.0 white pages for the eBay sale , in the dark they were Snow White ... amazing.. how did they upgrade that.. they were bright white

Question: on a mega key... what is the record grade jump from initial CGC to final upgraded grade? Anyone know?

The key is I do not doubt your 40 years grading experience, nor that it is equivalent to a cgc grader... what I doubt is your ability to predict what is inside of that case.. I just googled “PGX grading reviews “ and looked at a review on Reddit... make that a “horror story“ of a young man who bought a PGX graded book and removed it from the case so Stan Lee could sign it..just look at those pictures... detached from cover and not noted...misgraded page quality... how WOOWOO are you going to know.. have you forgotten the golden rule “ a book should not be judged by its cover”... and for us older board member here .. you had better be directly related to the “Amazing Kreskin” abilities.. here I would never buy a PGX book blind and he mentioned that some of the damage might of occurred during grading...

Married centerfolds, etc etc....not the only one on the planet here who has lost $$$$, CGC is a no brainer on this...worth every penny...yea it costs more...FOR A REASON.

If the seller will allow you to break open the case, carefully look at the book, THEN ALLOWS YOU to submit it to CGC...yea maybe then....AND ONLY THEN...

You always get what you pay for....if you have read the horror stories....Please use CGC, in fact I would break open the book prior to sale and do a page count....etc

Second this also, and be prepared for possible grade reduction....

I will second that I will buy NO PGX book period.

2020 is a game changer as we all have extra time to think, collect, and watch the comic book auction market explode.. and that is the issue.. the risk of damaging vs improving... and catching the market just at the right time to sell or trade up. my advice on the pressing is this... if you are gonna press and flip...now.. I would do from a monetary standpoint. If these are your permanent collection books I would leave unrestored or the fancy way to say conserved ... oops that not it... sad state of affairs.

I would think that might be one of the important issues when undisclosed...sorry to here that about the purchase...

Timing is everything in sales...I do not think you would be in the same ballpark...more investor types coming in...today

that is a great question....apparently so...it seems more and more that grading standards are being lowered and more modification of the GA/SA books which in turn leads to regrade and resub and regrade and resub and while that generates additional fees to the CGC and higher auction results, this "game" long term hurts the true GA/SA long term collector/investor with no assurance that some 8.5 copy is gonna come up to your 9.0 level at anytime. I would really like an answer to staple cleanng...that seems to be conserving

Wow, any idea the cost involved in upgrading this book...we know the $$$ amount of this increase in value....but is there real TRUE value or is is hyped up?

WOW...any idea how they did it and kind of ruins the fun of comic book collecting.

3- questions; 1-has there ever been a page quality upgrade on mega key... 2-does the page quality factor in on the overall grade...either officially or unofficallly? 3-If so...how much in your opinion?

Here is my take... White pages on a mega key high grade increases the price greatly. Look at the last sale of Action 1...they put the book in a dark room and showed off the white pages...and the person who owned another 9.0 went out and spend over 1 million dollars more for that incredible page quality. The page quality coupled with a very strong and accurate 9.4 grade after careful examination on the Ha website, this copy is the real deal...you cannot really compare similar books or sales with the unique combo...This is the best book to come to market since the A1 3 million white page... this is a true masterpiece of GA collectable comic book...its worth every penny of 2 million dollars.
