  1. I think this guy will probably end up as lion poop one day, but I'm glad he made this video. Amazing animals.
  2. This makes me happy. J. Michael Straczynski Options Harlan Ellison’s Classic Sci-Fi Story ‘Repent, Harlequin!’
  3. There's another angle on this that I found fascinating...sometimes first impressions are the truest because of later rationalizations and the ability of the mind to use its full capacity, much of it unexplainable with logic. This leads to a gut reaction that is often correct, even though there seemingly wasn't enough information to process a result. There's a great book on this by Malcolm Gladwell called Blink. Brilliant. Although I thought people always put much more effort into 1st impressions than any other and I assume them to be more faked than genuine later impressions. Absolutely, just like a first date. Everyone has a handy facade that isn't energy-efficient for the long haul.

  5. I may have posted this before. Original Awesome Claymation Remake
  6. I can hear Sweet Polly singing her song right now in my head.
  7. Unfortunately, I think you're probably right. This situation will be swept under the rug with no consequences other than people bringing it up in the future and being called "trolls" for not letting it go. Yippee I hope not. I honestly don't know what he's capable of at this point. When I think of all the names and addresses he has access to from his past sales threads. Now that his cross-hairs have shifted from Fingh, Park and others to yours truly, I'm really happy I was never tempted to buy any of his books because of his disruptive behavior here in the past. I hadn't thought about that to be honest. He has my address, but I'm not worried. This is a guy who out of spite, pretended to take a threat seriously from a 60+ year old comic dealer from five states away just to get him a strike. Keyboard Cowboy IMHO...hopefully I'm right. Somehow, this does not make me feel any better.
  8. Thanks Sharon. Excellent post. Maybe I'm insulated. I come from an area of the country where there is zero tolerance for hate speech and threats of violence such as we have seen here. Anyone caught doing so is immediately ostracized and, quite frankly, unemployable from that moment on. When I first saw what Rupp was passing around, it disgusted me. I honestly couldn't believe someone here would do something like that, no matter how badly they disliked someone. I've since come to realize, especially after seeing his responses, that he must have psychological issues that he's dealing with, and I feel sorry for him. He really does need to seek help. What has really saddened me is that over the course of the last couple of days we've seen five or six people here come forward and try to either minimalize what was done, or shift the blame to the victims in some manner. Thankfully, the vast majority of the responses have been from people who have their hearts in the right places and don't want to see this kind of behavior in a place that should be all about the fun and enjoyment of a hobby. Just to clarify, you're saying that Rupp was passing around these memes? My understanding is that he PMed the memes to his group of friends here. This is a point he has never denied, and is further corroborated by his use of the word 'cabal.' If you read the script in the memes, you'll know what I'm talking about. The meme was all about forcing Fingh to submit before his clique of friends before he was summarily executed. Nice huh? My further understanding is that at some point, the image left the inner sanctum and was shared with someone else - possibly by someone who thought it was way over the top, but I don't really know.

  11. Really? It was all part of an 'ingenious plan' to get you? I feel sorry for you Rupp because it's pretty obvious that you have some real psychological problems, and I'm not one to blame someone for something that may be beyond their control. All I can do is encourage you to get some help. On the other hand, you are hurting people by targeting them with hate speech and threats of violence. Many people here fear you and the things you might do because of your actions and instability. There's really nothing left to say. I think the vast majority of the boardies here are appalled at what you have done and continue to do, and are waiting for CGC to remove an obvious threat. I really do hope you can get some help and find peace in your life.
