First world problem. I’m not a particular fan of Metro or CC, but New York City has been devastated by quarantine sequelae. I can’t justify their timing or holding your funds, but they are a reliable organization.

Wonder Comics #12
Thanks. I knew I had that issue at one time, but no longer own it.

Concert Poster Gallery holds an auction every month or so. I have purchased a couple of items from them, very straightforward group to deal with. I have no affiliation other than that, but thought this might be of interest.
On the PAE auction right now, there’s a CGC-certified 9.8 poster which includes a swipe of a Graham Ingels cover. Can’t remember what the issue is, might be Startling?
I have a few posters from the psychedelic era. This one is not mine, but I think it’s a great image.
I saw the band Nashville Puśsy about 10 yrs ago - pretty good show, a literal fire-breathing female bassist on a small venue. And of course, Lemmy on the same marquee must have been a heck of a show.

I have never seen that cover blurb before. Captain Commando must be a badass.

What’s the hammer price gonna be on this 9.8 I wonder....
The consignor certainly hopes for more than $12,300+10% commission...

Tonight, Thursday May 6 at 7:00pm CST Bedrock City Comic Co. will have a live stream Facebook Live Sale. Lots of great books, both new and old, will be available. If you have a chance, please check it out. All sales will benefit the "Keep Bedrock City Open" fund which will be used to pay the expenses of one of America's most beloved comic book stores.
Tonight is Wednesday. Do you mean Thursday May 7 or tonight Wednesday May 6? Inquiring minds want to know, in order to support the Cause.

Contender for best Spidey cover of all time in my opinion.
Front cover or back cover? IMHO the “Jade East” cologne ad is one of the best, perhaps bested only by the Golden Age “foot itch” ad.

Spiro Agnew, Nixon’s Vice President, was on the cover of Neal Adams’ Green Lantern. Issue 83?

Negasonic Teenage Warhead...
Sounds as if the first appearance might have been in Mad magazine. Superduperman maybe? -

The publisher (Archer St. John) was walking in Greenwich Village when he saw several pieces of Ekgren’s art. Ekgren was reputedly schizophrenic, trying to make a bit of cash by selling his visionary/outsider art. He had never done any comic book work. Publisher bought said works and used them as covers to weird terrors and strange horrors. No relation to interior stories. I believe there’s only a total of three Ekgren covers.

That cover is insane...
So was Ekgren. Great story of how the Ekgren artwork came to grace the covers.
