  1. No brittleness to pages pretty supple. The color of the pages is what you would expect I guess from 71 years old, but suprisingly no really yellowed pages except what you see in the photo that sticks out on the outer edge. There is zero spine roll and it appears the pages that stick out were just a hair larger than when the cover was cut. So I can't really find anything wrond with this book. None of the pages are missing or torn. Appears to be intact all the way around. I looked on Nostomania and they have it in NM as 14k and VF around 3 k, I think I could ask higher than Vf if not only for the reason I just don't think there is another on out there in this shape. What's your view, im just curious as I really have never sold any of my collection of this era. Believe or not the guy I got this from used to keep it in the garage with all his other comic, but he knew enough to have them all in bags and boards and well protected.
  2. So here are 3 of the 5 Walt Disney Christmas Parade #1's(1949) I have starting with the worst first, if you wanna call it that. This title seems to be some the hardest of the Dell giants to find inj good cndition. The second one is a CGC which says it all. The last on is a Vf or higher copy I aquirred about 6 years ago and paid $90 for. Sorry for the glare.
  3. I got a couple of these one graded and one not the non-graded one is file copy Ill post it when I find it in the box and photo it. For now here is the CGc one I got. All Good #1
  4. I did not know that, not computer smart sorry Ok I switched it to the IMg code one
  5. Well since you asked I went and pulled it so I could get it up here quicker. It doesn't get much rarer than this and I have never seen one of these in any condition near this one. Werid Comics Vol.1 #1 (1940) Not even sure what this thing is really worth, any ideas what I should ask for this book when I sell it. I would put it in the Nm- range atleast VF+ I got it here locally from a guy that had mainly silver age coomics and only a few golden age. I bought it abought 5 years ago and he used a price guide that was already fiver years old and then he said he would cut 50% off that. I think it was a 2001 price guide less 50%. Basically I paid pracitcally nothing for this book.
  6. Our gang #1 First appearnce Tom and Jerry. This comic I feel has been looked over in regards to value and content.
  7. Here are my two copies of Seven Seas #1 and my #2 they in great shape
  8. Vacation Parade #1 (1950) I have 10 copies of this book all VF or better. I went on some kick years ago and tried to aquire every high grade copy of this I could get.
  9. Triple Threat #1 the white line running straight through the cover is from the camera shot not on the book.
  10. Here is the 1st Donald book. It is in as about as nice of condition you will see. It has no tears, creases or otherwise. Just a little dirty along the edge. Got a guy back East that I may have clean it for me. He said it is easy to remove the dirt because they used linen paper on these. (#nn) 1935
  11. Agreed I think of anything it would be in shipping and I just can't take that chance. To me it is irreplacable. Maybe Ill take there personally one day and do a walk in and have it done. I got some other sIll post that are rare like that in Nm shape. I have a Werid Comics #1 (1940) in NM condition ill post here soon Along with a Nm Super-Mystery Comic Vol 1 #1. I don't think there are either of those out there in that grade.
  12. Just posted some cool books in the thread Have a Cigar! Golden Age only....!
  13. Okay so this is the last comic I will post tonight and I have to give you the background on this one, because, well, you just won't believe it. I met a gentlme in Florida (I'm in California). I had bought a couple books from him in the past. Then he said he had a Tom Mix #1 Ralston Purina Giveawy that had only been read once whenhe was a kid. He told me he was the kid that cut off the two required ceral box tops and sent them in to get the comic. Anyhow he said I read it once and put it in a chest o' drawers and ther eit sat prett much untouched for about 40 years. Then he moved it once to another dresser when he moved and it sat there inside a magazine for about the next 30 years until he offered ot to me. This was about 5 years ago. He said he though about putting it on Ebay and starting it at 700.00. I emailed him and offered him 400.00, two days later he said What the hell ok. It is completely flawless and looks like it came off the press today. This copy would easily be in the 9.6 range and the funny thing is no one even suspects one exists in this condition, I think Lewis Wayne Gallery has one for sale in 9.0 and it has a spine split. Anyhow it is perfect in every way. I think the price is upwards of 10k on nostomania.com It has really shot up. Funny thing is it is rarer than just about any comic out there. I took it to a few dealers out here in Cali and they were astounded one existed in this condition and said I could get double or more if I sent it in for grading. Sad thing is I don't CGC comics and I would be to fearful it would disappear or get damaged. Well here it is Tom Mix #1 Ralston Purina give aaway and just for kicks here is Tom Mix Western #1 in Mint shape as well. If I sell them it will be as a pair.
  14. Jeff Jordan U.S. Agent #1 Who the hell was Jeff Jordan back in the day. It's like me naming a comic after myself. Jeff Jordan was probably the writer,
  15. Here is a nice Four Color with an amazing green cover.
