  1. Ok here is the recent purchase, These are Four Color bound volumes issues #13 thru 24, 25 thru 36, and 37 thru 48. The volume with issues 25 thru 36 sold in 2006 for $11,000.00 on Heritage Auctions Website. I spoke with the guy that handles the Comics for Heritage Auctions out of Beverly Hils about these three volumes. He told me the bound volumes of this era are extremely rare from the 40's thinking there were 10 or less published for excutives to referrence to as in office copies. Maybe as few as 5 copies. Anyhow, the guy I told you about bought them as a sell off 30 years ago of a Harvey/Dell warehouse and these were in a box of uncirculated comics. The guy I spoke with at Hefitage feels these were professional bound copies for a manager or executive that never received them. Long story short they are rare. They were professionally bound but never received their final hard back covers which were sent off for their final hardcovers making them extremely rare in there current mint state, He stated I should not have their hardocvers added as they are in their original state from the 40's and are more valuable like they are. Here are a few pics of them they are truly gorgeous.
  2. Working deal on some some books that were bought in a warehouse sale 30 years ago from a publisher that went out of business. These comics from late 40's early fifites have never been circulated and are in NM condition. Owner says he bought them on a whim among other things and is not a comic collector in any way, just bought them because they were cheap at the time in the 70's. Can't say more right now, other than I received 10 of the comics already and they truly are NM+ uncirculated comics, but if things workout it may cost me about 5k for all that he has, but well worth it if the owner sells. Lets just say one of the comics is booking for 23k and he wants to sell everything to get rid of them because he is getting too old to hang on to stuff.
  3. Ok so It's 4th of July and I waited till the last minute to win this item on Ebay. It is a Davy Crockett #1 (1955) in NM condition that has been framed in UV glass. I won it for the opening bid of 50.00. how can you possibly go wrong with that. Chalk up another #1 to the collection. Yippeee!! and a beauty.
  4. Here is a perfect comic you just don't see Zoom Comics #1
  5. Peter Rabbit #1 Very popular when these come up not sure why. I have two file copies in NM shape
  6. Sorry for the glare and reflection of me on some of the plastics when pictured. Sea Devils #1
  7. Spotty the Pup #1 Bet this was not very popular. I mean I've never heard of this dog
  8. here is a really odd comic for those of you that love Santa Claus still and fear Martians.
  9. Here is a book that was in a small collection I bought. Quite a rare find True Crime Comics #2 (#1) (1947)
  10. Babe #1 (1948) Believe it or not this comic is about perfect and one of my favorite GGA covers. The cover is so thin from the cheap paper quality you can see some of the advertisments wanting to bleed through.
  11. Here is a toughy to find as well Jingle Jangle Comics #1
  12. Here is a tough Santa Claus Funnie #NN from 1940. Really tough to find in high grade if at all.
