  1. Here is another aquisition Top Spot #1 . Ill send this on in with the other should come back as top graded when done.
  2. Just aquirred this giveawy. Exremely high grade. I dont CGC stuff but this one is perfect and possible worth my first CGc item. This is the 1950 version not the 1958. Ill get a better pic when it gets in.
  3. Just picked up my second copy of this book in real nice shape. Pretty hard to find nice copies of this book .Peter Paul's 4 in 1 Jumbo Comic Book (Capitol Stories, 1953. here they are.
  4. Here is aan obscure title rarely seen. Daffy Tunes Comics (1947) #12 (#1) in pretty nice shape.
  5. Here is a High Grade FC# 435 I just a got in honor of the movie release.
  6. A group shot is a great idea. Problem is they were bought at different times and are throughout some 3500 comics. However, as I go through comics I will start pulling them out and ge ta group shot eventually.
  7. Just picked up this copy of Vacation Parade #1. This makes my 10th copy of this book all in VF or above.
  8. So here is Alan Young who played Wilbur Post on Mister Ed at age 92 signing 3 of my 4 file copies today on March 6, 2012. Thet should grade out at 9.6 or higher.
  9. Cheetah, When I caled CGC about that they said one of their employees would have to be at the signing. That is nearly impossible because due to Alan Youngs age he is not doing public appearences or conventions anymore. So unless I was to fly someone from CGC out here to be there at my cost I just don't see how I could get it done to make it a SS through CGC. Not sure what to do. Do you really think by him signing the cover it would decrease the value? Maybe I should just pass on the whole thing.
  10. Cheetah. I understand your point about the SS by CGC, when I called them to ask the process they told me one of their people needed to be at the signing and that would be the only way this would qualify for their SS slabs. Alan Young is not doing conventions or public appearances anymore so unless I was to foot the bill and get a CGC person flown out here I just don't see how it can be done. Alan Young will be taking a photo with the comic while signing them for me, other than that I m not sure anymore can be done. Its a tough call but I don't see how having him sign them would hurt the value, even if it doesn't increase it by a whole lot. Not sure what to do at this point. So you think he should sign the inside on the first page or the cover underneath Mr. Ed's head maybe? Thanks
  11. Question I have 4 copies of Four Color #1295 Mr. Ed with Alan Young (Wilbur Post) on the cover. He is going to sign the covers for me. These four copies have only been touched for at most 30 seconds since their printing back in the 60's. They are NM+ file copies I got out of a Dell warehouse sell back in the 80's and were only touched when I pulled them out to bag them. My question is should I have them signed? Also, where on the comic should I have them signed on the cover? Here is a pic of one of them. Any help on what to do would be appreciated.
  12. I am glad to ge the kind words RareHighGrade. I know most posters in this thread like same types of books, which are different than what I collect. I like to find rare high grade #1's that are more obscure and odd. Glad to hear a few people like them. Thanks.
  13. You can add this one in with the Witty and Navy heroes comicsI posted earlier. Devil Dogs #1
  14. Just picked up these two #1 "D" Crippen comics as a gift I am going to give for my fathers B-day. Almost want to keep them for myself, greedy I know.
  15. So a couple more 3-D comics I had picked up in that guys mini collection of 3-D comics were these two Thre Stooges comics. Yuo probably know that after the #1 from 1953 they went 3-D from #2 on. The #2 is in average grade but the #3 is in NM, both have their 3-D glassess attached. This has been a tough run for me to get in the Three Stooges title. I am posting both #1 and #2 from the (1949) series that took me a while to find in nice shape and #1, 2 and 3 from the (1953) series. I think a movie will be out soon about these guys. #1(1949) #2(1949) #1(1953) #2(1953) #3(1953)
  16. So I just worked a good deal out for a second copy of this comic in great condition with the glassess attached out of Europe. Last week I owned none and know I have two high grade copies with the glassess attached. Here they are again the newest one first.
  17. Here is and odd 3-d commic I got in the group First Christmas, The (Fiction House Magazines, 1953
  18. and a couple EC 3-D comics not the Nm quality I like but really nice with the glassess attached.
