    My gut tells me a lot of slight restoration books have been cracked out of their slabs and restoration removed for a lower grade universal label. Also there are plenty of questionable folks who sell deslabbed restored copies in the raw on Ebay for bigger $$ thank what they would get if they were still slabbed with a purple label. My $0.02

    This thread is pretty interesting, its amazing the variety and lack of consensus regarding which books people are choosing. I guess it goes to show we all have different collecting tastes to some extent and also that there is a LOT of GA material to choose from

    Planets definitely make appearances in cycles for a number of reasons, a high hammer price on a particular issue certainly can be a significant contributor to creating a short (6-12 months) of greater availability in my opinion. Some issues just don’t seem to show up often at all even if a high hammer price occurs.

    65 is one of those issues I would like to upgrade at some point, but it rarely becomes available in decent grade (I believe mine is a 4.5 if I recall correctly) Warmest Regards, Jason
