  1. Intro of the van with the thunderbird painting on the side. The one that gets intercepted by Negan between Alexandria and Hilltop. I thought they lingered on the Aiden and Noah chomp scenes too long. Funny how Carol's bad azz threat to Sam turned around on her. Kid is fixated on cookies and only cookies.
  2. Alpha's first appearance, or no? You're right, well maybe.I was just trying to add validity to the first appearance splash page I have of Jesus... I call it the first appearance but you can't see his face, so some people call it a cameo. If I recall correctly she technically appeared more than a few issues back(I could be wrong) in a splash page... She had her skin on covering her face and a double barrel shotgun. some say tomato some say tomato.... I have to go back and look at the next issue. Didn't we see the shotgun wielder interact with Dante more? At the very least, it's the first ID of Alpha.
  3. Skybound did not release print run information on this run IIRC............ How did you get your copy? I got mine from a buddy. I'm pretty sure he got it from the show. Sounds like they were mailed out though. I will ask him, he still has another one. It's beat up though,VF at best. The first WW Portland sold more tickets than they had WW PDX issues of. They gave a ticket to or took the name/address of people who bought late (or both) and later mailed them a second print. They are pretty rare and because they were mailed, more likely to be damaged. I think this is the only 2nd print of any WW WD books.
  4. So, Rick gets a scarlet A on the back of his hand. Semi bummed Buttons wasn't the special guest on TD
  5. Anyone else catch that Hunter killed Fred Dryer who played Hunter on NBC in the 80's? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086734/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 It got a smile from me.
  6. wtf is this thing? Looks horrible to me... +1 I mean really? Seriously? It's not that the art is bad but what were they thinking when approving this 'scene?' I'm not necessarily hatin' on Gabriel but if they're not giving away something from an upcoming storyline then this just seems way too random to devote a cover to. I actually like the cover a lot. It's cartoonishness is a big refreshing contrast to the gritty (yet again) covers with Rick (yet again) or Michonne (yet again) emasculating themselves or the artist (yet again). It may pique the interest of the casual non-WD fan at WW with the questions of who is the preacher, why the mask (nevermind what the mask's made of) and what is going on currently. These folks may then buy buy more WDs which, I would think, is one of the goals with these covers. Top of my head, my favorite issue 100 cover was the Quitely with big hair grandma for some of these same reasons above and favorite WW was Tedesco with dark orange and Rick as kind of a gunfighter. I would love to see Skottie Young do a cover with Shiva and Ezekiel as Calvin and Hobbes.
  7. My bet is Sonequa Martin-Green or Cristian Serratos or Alanna Masterson since she was just on it and it would be a surprise, right? I'm assuming one of these bites the dust on a run and AM's on that crew with the leader's son.
  8. http://comicbook.com/2015/03/02/what-was-the-walking-dead-easter-egg-teased-on-talking-dead-/ When the scenes in the dark happen, I can't see a god darn thing. How the hell am I going to read a badge on his jacket in the dark. I doubt anyone caught that on the show. They did talk about it on TD but Hardwick just didn't say that that was the easter egg.
  9. What was the easter egg "that you might have missed" from talking dead? Is that jewelry on Alanna Masterson's ear or some type of hearing aid/prosthetic?
  10. Bought a nice book from Marcus. He shipped it fast and safe. I would work with him again
  11. You bet James. Happy they went to a fellow Boardie Apprecianado. Here's my Ebay store if anyone else is interested. I've only listed up through issue 40 but have up to 114 (variant madness made me get on the wagon) plus various variants equally about 190 books, all 9.8 and think it was something like 90+ sig series, sketched or 9.9. I have scans of up to #100 and will be scanning them all over the next few weeks. www.ComicsAdventure.com This is just a pointer to my Ebay store for now until I get more organized but easy enough to remember. Kudos to Dr. Balls for help with the logo.
  12. Looks like Michonne's the one with pouches and Carl's got a raygun slicing the muscular zombies' heads off. We get another Liefeld before another Suydam?
  13. Or Mrs. Columbo on the original series. I hope we never meet her. The women's boarding house is just the way it was then. They still had them in the 80's at least according to Bosom Buddies with Hanks and Scolari. It's more ridiculous how men treated women then but, again, that's just the way it was then. As an aside, how old is Tony Stark in the movies, 35-40? Howard Stark would have been much older when he had him. so still making Tony too old in the movies. Maybe Howard did some time travelling? Does anyone else think that Sousa's leg injury is fake? I half think that Carter's waitress friend (the daughter in How I Met Your Mother, also in Kick ssA and Nikita) is a spy assigned to watch Carter and may be the killer of the SSR and tugboat guy in ep. 3. They didn't show who that person was (why not?) and "he" looked smaller of frame.
  14. I liked the issue too. I write off what he did to being a little smitten perhaps?
  15. Re WW WDs this year, a friend told me that he thought regular attendees get the color with ticket purchase and VIPs get the black and white versions. The ECCC ones from last year weren't tied to ticket purchase as far as I know so you could just buy them at Skybound booth which is what I did. Clutch can always chime in to verify or correct.
  16. Bought another slab from Steve. Shipped fast and safe. Looking forward to doing business again in the future.
  17. Ebay/PP sided with me. She gets to keep the merchandise and have her money back from her credit card company but PP gave me back the money she paid. Here's her ID in case you want to block: aandstreasurehunters
  18. So...is there any reason someone who bought something on ebay wouldn't use the buyer resolution process instead of just opening a chargeback through paypal? Backstory: Buyer in Vegas who shall remain nameless for the time being bought something from me a few days before Thanksgiving. I have a three day payment policy clearly stated in my listings*. Buyer contacted me a day or two after turkey day saying they would pay early the next week. I politely responded that they should pay so that I could ship the items (my thinking is that the time you took to write me the message would have been better used, ah, paying me but whatever). Opened a case on Tuesday or Wednesday after. They paid a couple of days later. Items shipped safely within 24 hours with tracking and delivered in reasonable amount of time. Just found chargeback request in my spam that it was unauthorized. Yeah, right. I've responded with tracking and note about payback for opening a case. Waiting to hear from paypal. *though I don't put it in my listings, I'm generally happy to extend period for payday, out of town, etc. if it's a reasonable time period and if you contact me BEFORE purchase made.
  19. Someone cue the Gilligan's Island theme song before it's too late.
  20. Why? Is the next arc as bad as the Negan arc? Someone else said it gets better. Do they introduce another stupid antagonist? More lazy writing by Kirkman where every other word out the guys mouth is some variation of the f-bomb or a comment about his nads? TBP is pulling your leg. Next story arc is great. Takes book in much different direction. We're now on the second arc post AOW and it's pretty good too.
  21. Good thread and info. I recently bought 500 books that all have moth ball/woodsy smell and have just been airing/laying them out in the garage but will try the dual box kitty litter method.
  22. Haven't seen True Detective yet ( ) but Daddario looks more like Jessica Jones. One on top looks like she's in Locke & Key.
