Never thought about it...I'll check it out.

My books arrived in Sarasota at 9:59am today.
Stay tuned...

This is about as technical as I get...still trying to figure out how
to scan my books.
When and if I find out how to get them on the board how should
I do it...by year...by title...by publisher...or, alphabetically?

I left SCRANTON in 1952.

The one Baseball Cover with The FLASH is #90 from December,
1947..."Nine Empty Uniforms". The issue has a great JOHNNY
THUNDER & BLACK CANARY story plus a Kubert HAWKMAN
and HAWKGIRL story. I still have this issue...but I don't know if
there are any other Baseball Covers.
Left Philadelphia in 1945 long before there was such a thing as a
"Comic Book Store".

Seeing I bought my first Comic in 1942 I might have a few...
what would interest you?
mm

Still waiting for them to get to Sarasota.
mm
-
The first comic I bought and still have was 1942's ALL-WINNERS #4
with Stan Lee as editor printed inside the front cover.
mm

This could take awhile...still waiting for USPS delivery to Sarasota.

Thanks...my GA collection has been all over the board, from 3.0 to 7.0,
so we'll see how they come in.
These books have seen a lot of moving over the years.

There was a newsstand at 52nd & Market that I went to...
then moved to Newark, NJ in 1943.

I never got into buying any FICTION HOUSE Comics because
growing up they were in my Barber Shop to read while waiting
for a haircut...so I read them there and didn't have to buy them.
I have only two that I bought...JUMBO COMICS #79 and #121.

No...but I was born in Philadelphia and lived on Osage Avenue.
Sorry I can't make the show...maybe next time.

They will be blue...never touched except for me to read...grade?
mm
-
They are off for grading...SUPERBOY #1 and FLASH COMICS #104
...let's see how we do. Bought them off the newsstand in '49 in Scranton, PA.

Metropolis is showing a CAPTAIN MARVEL Jr. #2, NM
for $9,750.00.

I have a PHANTOM STRANGER #3 at CGC waiting for a grade.
This 1953 edition was one of the last comics I bought off the
newsstand.

It's a shame they didn't have bags and microchamber paper when I started
my collection.
mm

Only have two CHARLTON'S in my collection...ZOO FUNNIES #101 (#1) '45
and JACK IN THE BOX #1 '46.

I remember how hard it was to find a copy of SCRIBBLY on the newsstand after
the first two issues...coming out every two months, with only a few copies in the
pile. I guess I gave-up after issue #8.
mm
-
Will do...thanks!
mm
-
Cotton-Top Katie made the cover of Comic Cavalcade #23,
but no story inside.
mm

I don't see Scribbly in any sets on the registry or on the census. I still have a #1...#2...#4...#6...
& #8.
