Thanks to a nudge by sfcityduck I am revisiting and "bumping" my thread which I have neglected for the past six months thinking that it had run it's course. I even tried to have the title changed from "THE TOP TWO IN MY COLLECTION" to THE PARK AVENUE COLLECTION but had no luck there. When I first posted on the sight, before I was able to share images, I listed SUPERBOY #1 and FLASH COMICS #104 as my "TOP TWO" didn't realize then that my SPIRIT #22 would be come the most valuable book in my collection. For those who might visit this thread for the first time my first posted image is located on page 12, TERRY-TOONS #38 for. Again, THANKS to all of those in the collecting community for your kind words and continued interest. Martyl

CAPTAIN VICTORY AND THE GALACTIC RANGERS
Marty Mann replied to Marty Mann's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
, Thanks!...There seems to be very little interest in what I see as a very good series both in art and story. -
While going through some boxes of my CIRCLE COMICS COLLECTION, I ran across the full run of 14 issues of JACK KIRBY'S CAPTAIN VICTORY AND THE GALACTIC RANGERS. I had almost forgotten what a good series this was.

Isn't "Color Touch Removal" Just Destroying the Book?
Marty Mann replied to clarkkentdds's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
CGC RESTORED GRADE Restoration includes: Small amount of color touch on cover. No idea where the "color touch" is but I think I could have done a lot more to restore this book... maybe some Scotch Tape? -
Isn't "Color Touch Removal" Just Destroying the Book?
Marty Mann replied to clarkkentdds's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
During the period that I was having my collection graded by CGC two books were graded with "color touch". There was never any " color touch" done to these books but once they were dubbed they were doomed. -
