  1. Whenever I get frustrated with life I come to the CGC boards to see how much worse it could all possibly be.
  2. Tried doing with comics the other and day and felt it was better to walk away and think of something else.
  3. When confused or torn between the two go with trading cards. That's all new drama. People like you and I have seen this drama play out already.
  4. How does this impact midgrade copies of these books? Does a rising tide lift all ships or are these books so special and once in a lifetime that they do not severely impact the already highly priced market?
  5. I don't know if it is considered long term speculation versus "can't be bothered to get them graded" Off the top of my head, 1st Suri, 1st Ironheart, 1st Riri x3, 1st Moon Girl x 5, UF4 x 11, Gleason ASM 55 x 10, 1st Batman Beyond, bunch of modern SW 1st Appearances and so on... I mostly submit GA and Silver when I do submit. I have a 1st Spider-woman x3 and a bunch of other Bronze I might send down. What is stopping me from sending all of these things in? It's a combination of turn around times and that I want to hold onto them for the time being so it's easier to keep 125 books in a short box rather than 125 slabs in four boxes.
  6. I paid for a press and I am still marked as 'received'.
  7. That makes sense then. I agree with you on that angle. I have always felt that the comic book version of the Steve Rogers Captain America costume from distribution of color to chain mail was a bit hokey. I get it that it is 'classic' but I always felt that the movie studios did a better job of giving it the appearance of a functioning upgrade. The costumes in the comics (spandex and lycra) have never directly translated well on screen. It's nice for cosplay, not well suited for beating the bejeezus out of each other.
  8. Did it though? I felt that he was following the old guy around as seen when he passes the restaurant because of continued guilt. I have to watch it again but perhaps he walks away knowing that he did what he had to but it was still the tough thing and there are some things that are never ever to be merely crossed off. Like he let the secret out but he knows that the guy hates him for it and it doesn't make anything really better but it was the right thing to do.
  9. I think it was a decent job considering the source material. Without Stark around, and the Bucky connection, it makes sense that they looked toward the tailors of Wakanda and I assume the suit is designed by Suri or at least those within Suri's lab. Out of curiosity were you looking for something shinier? More matte? Lose the head sock. (Maybe lose the head sock) The suit had to incorporate the following: It must have wings It must protect the user with the understanding the user does not have the super soldier serum It must be red, white, and blue It needs to evoke or honor what has come before it. I was always glad that they never made Steve Rogers wear the actual costume from the comics except in the war bond raising scenes as that costume kind of never works. Perhaps they should have gone with something that was a little closer to the mostly blue costume with the star seen in CA:WS or CA:CW. As I mentioned, I like the mechanics of how the wings react and how the wings and thruster augment and account for strength. It made more sense. I am sure there will be a costume upgrade when it appears again in a full length movie so that will be interesting to see what the future director and producers come up with then.

  11. Let's put this into perspective. Marvel made this guy amazing by getting a MMA fighter to portray him and making him an assassin. I can only imagine what they would do if they wanted, to make Paste Pot Pete a formidable villain online.
  12. Part of me is disappointed that this will be a Disney+ series as this could have been an underlying storyline connecting a whole series of TV shows and films culminating into a theatrical release. It may still well happen. However, I am hoping that the TV series leads to something bigger.
  13. Bad Batch shuttle leaked. It should be officially revealed next week. Don't know about you but this is an easy pass unless you are going to go strictly for the minifigures. The shuttle is terribly undersized. If you are going to have a Bad Batch shuttle it should be able to fit the Bad Batch. This has capacity for 1 (possibly 2) in the cockpit judging by the 6 stud wide canopy part. Figures would be placed in back of one another IF there is room. The back looks like the wings fold and Lego probably used the gear mechanism so MAYBE there is room for one in the back if at all.
  14. Because many of you do not... but should visit the Plastic Crack thread ... Here you go... This was leaked. It is terribly undersized. If you are going to have a bad batch shuttle... you need to be able to fit all four members into it.
  15. Don't discount this just yet. Jaxxon has been snuck into the current Star Wars universe canon in the comics and novels. Disney also authorized Hasbro to release this in a couple of months. https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-black-series-jaxxon Currently available for preorder
  16. "Cardies" Because I refer to them as "lil Cardie B's"
  17. Sometimes life happens. I am pretty sure that one of those mentioned has had the inventory depleted or sold off due to personal issues.
  18. The one thing I loved about this was how they demonstrated Captain America taking a hit without the super soldier serum. The wings dig into the ground and the thruster ignites while the shield takes the impact. I liked the workaround and it made sense. I like Sam as a character and hope that Mackie stays with it for a while.
  19. Here is how I would have phrased it. I love making use of a good Father Ernest quote.
