  1. Wasn't there a guy on facebook showing off a pile of ASM 300's recently?
  2. Definitely agree. I found myself swapping out some older sculpts and selling them off. I wound up picking up the current Luke in X-Wing Pilot gear as an example. If I told you that was 1:12th scale, I think you might be tricked by it for at least a second or two.
  3. Been another long day... I am flip flopping between going to be and opening mine. However, I did dig out this guy...
  4. Attack of the Clones Realistic Style? Or Clone Wars Animated Style? http://www.rebelscum.com/sagabobafettkaminoescape.asp http://www.rebelscum.com/TCW32-Boba.asp
  5. There is that new Boba Fett figure that is due to ship in May too...
  6. Yup... he "allegedly" got his in the end. To be fair, maybe he was under a lot of stress when he wrote that post. However, he was not under that stress of the loss of a family member when he was "allegedly" doing a number of other things. "Allegedly" the sheriff was boarding up / chaining the doors for non payment of rent when he rushed to the door to stop it as he was illegally living in the back. Where is he now? No idea. However, the name Blu Planet (Thanks @kav for finding that) originally came from him opening on Merrick Rd in the neighboring town of Amityville, (yes home to the horror house) as a combo Comic Book store and Blu Ray Disc retailer. His model was to sell Blu Rays at full price before the street date under the belief that people would pay a markup to be 'first' on a Blu Ray. As you can imagine that worked out about as well as I wrote it out to be. According to someone that used to work there that I was friends with and have not seen in awhile, he was swapping out submitted CGC books or misplacing them and not paying employees. Again. "Allegedly" EDIT... Might as well throw this in as well. A walked into the Amityville location once to say hi to the friend. After telling him about books that I submitted to or received from CGC, the owner told me that they facilitated submissions. The friend stepped back and shook his head 'no', explaining why later.
  7. If he admits that he has altered and broken the product and that his return is due to misuse, then you have a decent shot of shutting the return down. You have to make sure that you direct eBay CSR to read the messages and you have to be prepared to argue. Depending on your argument, tone, and record you should have a reasonable shot at cancelling the return request. If the lower tier CSR cannot help you then ask to go higher.
  8. It arrived... and they actually put an outer box over it. I might keep the box after all... It's kind of cool... I have no time to open it and set it up tonight as I have a lot of work to prepare for tomorrow as there is a dumpster in my driveway and tomorrow's zoom meetings are going to be 'noisy' as construction commences. BUT... three seats... oversized ship and a stand !
  9. If you truly believe that he is scamming you, get him talking and hopefully he says something that trips himself up in that it violates the buyer's end of the user agreement. For example, if he bought a car and made alterations. eBay STILL does not stand behind a return like that if the alterations did not work out. Get him talking to see what's up.
  10. Sup' Pequa ? Strong Island ! If Danny would permit an interview I would definitely love to ask some questions. He's a stone's throw away.
  11. Agreed... there are threads that have link to the best the boards can offer that are still readable. Some of the best threads were wiped.
  12. If the book continues to climb I might investigate the process for removing the tape. I am guessing that is a CCS thing when it comes to that? There are no tears to the cover so I have no idea what purpose there is for the tape. . If it is due to the weak staple... then what are you going to do? It's one of the better presenting copies in grade I guess.
  13. There was one video I have on one of the computers that I took. I almost missed my train to record it. Well worth it. Let me see what I can find... I umm... shoot a lot of video around the city of the good, the bad, AND the ugly.
  14. Don't be. It is easy to sit back and play Monday morning quarterback on missed opportunities that resulted in massive successes. We usually remember the times that we passed on Amazon stock at entry point. However, focus on all of the times that you were right and you wisely walked away from something or even someone that resulted in greater opportunity or happiness. There is also the idea of, and I have made mention of it many times before of opportunity cost. What did you buy instead? What did you experience instead? What did you do instead? Sometimes the memories and experiences are more important than newsprint. I have missed closing auctions on Comiclink and Heritage so I could go with my dad to a baseball game (rarity), take my mom to a concert, travel to Florida to reconnect and move my current gf back to NY. I would not trade any of those things for old newsprint no matter how much money I could have made off of it.
