  1. Yes. It was an exclusive between Amazon and Best Buy and other online retailers and also offered on Hasbro Pulse earlier this year. To make sure that you are getting the 2020 version and not an earlier release, the box will state that it comes with a lucite stand for display. The earlier versions of the ship did not come with that.
  2. I am glad you brought that up because that's what the people that do these types of things would hope that you would think. So I did a quick search for a 'target' book. Let's take this book right here. Amazing Fantasy 15 in a blue label 1.0 which sold in September of 2019 through Heritage for $9,600 including the buyer's premium. The only notation on the cover of this book is that the centerfold is detached. The cover is seemingly in tact. https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/amazing-fantasy-15-marvel-1962-cgc-fr-10-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/121937-15430.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Now, it is common place to have a book pressed and I believe this is a candidate for it simply to remove the spine roll. That in itself is not considered restoration. People want to argue that it is, CGC does not recognize it as restoration. It is what it is. Those that disagree with it, take it to one of the many 'debates on pressing' threads. However, if someone swaps the centerfold for the next adjoining wrap, they could theoretically hide the detached centerfold from the graders as they would only count the pages. The only effort would be to open the staples and reset two pages. Get the book pressed and graded again for around $75 given the value. Now you are into the book for $9,675 + Shipping and tax (if you are in a state that charges it). I say that book comes back as a 2.0 or 2.5. Let's look at GPA for a 2.0 in both 2019 and 2020 The low numbers ($10,800 and $12,000) could be attributed to 2.0 copies were there is significant rub or qualifiers that would make the book less presentable. If that spine roll is pressed out and the centerfold is masked you have a very attractive 2.0 as the damage from the spine roll is now on the back cover. For an extra $100 and unethical reversal of the centerfold, you might just make around $5000 to $8000 going by the 'highs' of each of those years.
  3. I want to make it perfectly clear to new people reading this that 'the trick' was not one of my design. It came up in another thread where people were talking about shady practices and unethical things that people had requested to Joe. The more shady of the two ways was by reversing the centerfold and the adjoining interior wrap. The former board member had claimed that CGC counts pages but does not read the story. So if you had a detached or loose centerfold, he advised opening up the staples and now removing the next interior wrap. Place the detached wrap into the page order and anchor it by laying the in-tact wrap over it and closing the staples. The page count stays the same, the detached wrap would not be detected but the page order is wrong. It's a scummy thing to do. I have never done it. I scolded the board member for suggesting it. They "claimed" that they never did it themselves after I expressed my, "Why would you even think of something like that?" attitude. I don't know if I truly believe that anymore. There were a number of things that the individual postulated that gave me concern as to how people monkey around with books. Among them, that thread in 'restored' was not the first time I had heard of the idea of taking a tweezers to a silver age book to mask a trim so it would be called, "marvel chipping" or if it was a low grade book with a "top edge trim" in a purple label, (1.0?) to rip the top half of the cover off so it would be a blue label .5 remaindered.
  4. When you click the three dots on the post made by someone else you will only see report or share. When you click on the three dots on a post that you have made you should see, ‘report’, ‘share’, and now, ‘edit’ and, ‘hide’.
  5. The edit button is now at the top right of your post indicated by the three marks in that corner. Just click and 'edit' will come up.
  6. He was nuked after an incident. He came back at one point under another account and said so himself.
  7. @ComicConnoisseur Oh wait... that doesn't work anymore...
  8. You know how some people have a celebrity death league where they build a fantasy team of celebrities that might die within the course of a year, receiving points for 99-Age of Celebrity? No? Trust me it's a thing. ANYWAAAAAAY. What is the feasibility of running something like that but a Boardie Ban League? You draft a team of board members that you feel might get picked in a round robin pick much like fantasy football. If they get banned after 2021-01-01 you get points for, (365-Whatever day of the year it is.) So if you pick me to get banned and I get banned on January 15th then you are awarded 350 pts. If I were to get banned on December 30th then you get 1pt. You get the idea. So... are we allowed to do this? And if not, if people are interested in asking me why I would think of something like this I am sure we can set up a private message group about why this is a bad idea for the next 365 days starting January 1st. Ahem. @jaybuck43
  9. How to push Greggy ahead.... So, @greggy thinking of submitting anything to CGC or did you get anything back lately?
  10. Can the new boards have a better ignore feature so that it can ignore by IP address eliminating both the ignored member and their shills?
  11. Pretty much. https://www.debate.org/opinions/are-santas-elves-just-slaves Side note: Dolph Ziggler is exactly the name I would expect of an elf and not a sports entertainer.
  12. Can you audit Santa's finances? I am not completely convinced that he is employing a legitimately run business while utilizing what can be described as a questionable workforce at best.
  13. And this seems to be how Joss Whedon got himself in trouble on the DC sets.
  14. I humped the button on the, "Certain Lawyer is a traitor" thread. When I have done it I publicly announce it and I can only think of a couple of instances over the years that I did it.
  15. I have a different take on why this might have been left of the Disney 'docket'. What if the Book of Boba Fett "IS" Season 3 of the Mandalorian? Din Djarin kind of finished his main story arc of getting the child to the Jedi and I think they might want to spread the Star Wars shows out as they debut them in a staggered way like they are doing with the Marvel series. Mando Season 3 was to debut now Book of Boba Fett. Boba Fett IS a Mandalorian... it is possible that Book of Boba Fett IS Season 3.
  16. Furthermore it makes a lot of sense that storywise, Fett did not accompany them on the actual rescue mission given the fact that he would have run into someone that would have... 'complicated' the rescue mission.
  17. Daaaaayum... BTW... I hope that was the musical cue for Boba Fett going forward. I like it.
  18. Were you able to have it delivered to your home or to the store? Another friend of mine out in Suffolk county who is not on the boards tried to get one and he can pick his up in Levittown.
  19. I am not going to name the person but this is a summation of the message I received the other evening. "Hi, I think you are a mod. Is there any reason my sales thread was deleted the other evening?" I told him I was not, but went to his current sales thread and noticed two things that were not in accordance to the selling rules in the non-deleted thread. I let him know... So, yeah... I could see how that could get annoying.
  20. I forgot... as far as current canon Jedi that survived, "the purge" regardless of whether or not they died later. Ahsoka Tano Ezra Bridger (May not count as he was force sensitive and trained later as a Jedi) Grogu Kanan Jarrus... and... Cal Kestis from that fallen order video game. Disney ignored the old canon last night by showing Bob Fortuna being killed by Boba Fett when in the old canon he wanders back the palace after Jabba dies and gets his brain removed to become one of those spider-monks.
  21. Here is something to think about though, if Luke had his own Jedi Academy and takes Grogu under his wing, does that mean that Ben Solo / Kylo Ren kills him when he destroys Luke's Jedi Academy? Noooooooooooo!!!!
