  1. And this I recently picked up because... well... Superman v Luthor and flying into space... I also liked what Tony Daniel did here.
  2. This second DPS was a gift for taking care of someone else's art that was mistakenly sent to my place. Theirs was worth far more than what I was supposed to receive and I was supposed to receive a cover from the Eternal Warrior. Dealer thanked me and surprised me with this from X-O Man-o-war
  3. I own there DPS... Purchased this Turok DPS because, who doesn't love people running for their lives from dinos?
  4. Exactly... I have no problem reading anything at $60 a year and I will eventually re-up my digital subscription the next time I see an incentive. However the only monthly title I collect is Amazing Spider-man, and I have not bought a single copy since my LCS owner retired and closed the store. I will buy them all back at the end of the year from MCS or something. As of now, I do not see the value in $4-5 an issue for 6 to 7 minutes of entertainment. The concept though of having hordes of old paper in boxes due to spending $100 a month on monthly titles is ludicrous to me. I would rather put that money toward a golden age book that I value more as a relic or collectable.
  5. Then the real question becomes is there 'quality' in a comic book... and to who?
  6. It actually MIGHT help though. Any IP lawyers out there are going to be woozy with what I am about to say. I am in the middle of separating something and scanning it so that it can be distributed digitally. While it is time consuming to scan all of this, it is far more cost effective as this is a one and done type of deal. If I had to fulfil requests for the original documents in paper format that would be cost prohibitive to have them on hand and to stock and deliver. Once it is scanned, the file can be distributed by a click of a button with no additional costs. If I did not have the ability to do this I can promise you, it would not be worth the trouble. So look at it this way: If comics continue to stay in a paper format they will eventually fade away that the companies decide to shut down publishing all together. As each price increase occurs more people are going to wake up and realize that even the current $4-$5 for a 22 page book you can read in around 7-8 minutes is not the best way to spend money. Why are fees so much? Aside from the payment to the creative team, production and distribution are major costs. If you cut them out and go completely digital you can stave off further price increases. All of a sudden comics are profitable again. The trade off is that there will obviously be people that will not embrace a digital format and walk away. Okay... but how much money are you saving compared to how much business turns away?
  7. If this gets deleted please make this a private group and be sure to include me in it. I am not a fan. Someone should do the same for Desert Wind.
  8. Just got back... we went into the city and celebrated National Margarita Day at this place on 8th and then went to Ferrara's in Little Italy for desert. We wanted to go see this exhibit but it was sold out. Thankfully we took a train back after the Ranger fans headed back out to the island. https://www.artechouse.com/submerge
  9. This is not to be rude to you. I am putting my voice in the eyes of the DC executive. Who cares? DC execs probably look at the the LCS is no longer essential to the distribution of their product in relation to the costs incurred for it to get there. I could EASILY see Disney doing this and combining Marvel Unlimited as an add on to their streaming network of Disney+ hits a certain number of subscribers.
  10. That forum is a joke in the way it’s arranged and maintained. I’m not making a criticism of the users or members but of the structure itself. It is one cluttered mess. I can only imagine what the tech and maintenance guys think of it when they have to service it.
  11. Take this with a grain of salt. Danny Elfman gave an interview where he said that this was the final season of the Simpsons and then a week later it was confirmed that is not the case. If print media DID go away though, I could easily see ATT switching to an all digital format so comic books would still be released but only that format. Such a move would significantly reduce costs. I am sure there would be a further drop off of readership or subscribers as purists want a book to hold in their hand. However the drop off would be insignificant to the money saved and the comics would still be considered digital content. In this day of dedicated media channels, every company wants access to as much content as possible in the cheapest manner possible. Remember that it is a lot more cost effective for someone like Disney to stream Toy Story rather than place an order to create Blu Ray after Blu Ray for "Possible" consumption in the market.
  12. Okay... so you are saying we should ADD pewter4144 back to the list... Got it. This stuff is so confusing @slym2none... add don't add... add again... take off... add three days later...
  13. My brother who has nothing to do with comics or collectibles let alone Heritage had heard about it. He heard about it on youtube. There are a lot of people talking about this.
  14. I’ve had you blocked for almost ten years now.
  15. It would be amusing if someone joined the CGC boards to complain about a buyer or seller only to find that they themselves were already on the list...
  16. So you are saying it is now safe to ship slabs in padded envelopes?
  17. I think I see a crack running down the back top left to the middle of the slab. I am obviously hoping I am wrong.
  18. smh I am going to miss the livestream tomorrow... I am guessing that the most efficient way of knowing is revealed or what to look for is to log into Hasbro pulse around 2ish.... to see what pops up as available. Heh - then excuse myself and sneak off to the bathroom to order if there is anything amazing.
  19. I wanted to say She Hulk for the second one also but I they just did a She Hulk... unless it's a costume update?
  20. @fantastic_four https://fanvote.hasbropulse.com/ 1 = Elektra 2 = ? 3 = ?
  21. You think Scarlett and Roadblock go up tomorrow? I don't think I will be getting those... Snake Eyes is just something to 'have' and as I said, who knows if I will keep it.
  22. Disney and Hasbro reach a deal for Star Wars and Marvel... The deal has been extended... (Insert your Lando joke here) https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200221005211/en/
