  1. What in the "white-girl-pumpkin-spice-latte-drinking" hell is this thread about?

  3. 6:15EST for the Thursday showing... looking forward to it - post 24,000 - cool
  4. I usually don’t get called to the house until once it has become a proper party. we should just direct him to moderns and call it a day.
  5. Just made the train... so that means there are no seats so you sit on the floor like I am as well as the woman in front of me... or you can get bounced about as this express barrels through out East on the island. 3,905 days to go.
  6. My participation on these boards these days is basically relegated to my phone. Work is dark and full of terrors. I’m in a meeting right now. 😔
  7. I want the Valiant universe to succeed on film. I really do and you and I have talked Valiant before years ago. Bloodshot is definitely the “safe” choice to introduce the world to Valiant but I wonder if it is the best choice. Will general audience goers be able to see what is so special about him or like you said will the movie fail to be seen as just another shoot em up Bourne Identity? XO would be seen as an Iron Man rip off even though he is so much more. Harbinger would be seen as a derivative to the X-Men but That might not be such a bad thing since the X-Men movies were a bit to be desired in the end. I cannot help but think whether the eternal lawyer (Or warrior) or shadow man might’ve been a better choice. They are definitely riskier but they present something that we have not seen in a while.
  8. I was lamenting in general though. I hear that Discovery is actually pretty good. Either way, we are less than a month away from the alleged streaming gamechanger debut. One thing I learned of this weekend was that the Mandalorian will be a weekly release much like a regular TV show. That was a pleasant surprise to me and something that is a welcome return to the 'old ways' of television. I am hoping that it is a 'watercooler' type show like LOST or 24 was where you would have a week to figure out and process what you just saw.
  9. I would like to watch the Star Trek stuff but I cannot seem to get behind a broadcast station having exclusive content. It does not matter if it was NBC, or ABC, I cannot get behind CBS having their own streaming service. I wish them luck though, because success on the small screen may reignite interest in pursuing big screen adventures to which they can count my rear end in a seat for.
  10. Converted the old backyard brick grill to a fireplace... it was a PITA to get the grills out but it was worth it and a nice way to watch the game.
  11. How do you turn down $2 a pop? You can't. Bought one or two to leave around the office for everyone at work. @greggy
  12. They will never eliminate both post counts AND the born on date. If they did, they would be making it harder on themselves to find one of Stu's aliases.
  13. Books that won't make me money when I go to resell.
  14. There will always be digital and so long that someone can make money off of Superman, Superman will always exist.
  15. You are free to believe that. I picked Action 1, Tec 27 and AF15 due to them being the three most iconic characters. They are pop Americana in that order I believe. Captain America to me was an easy call just for Cap punching Hitler in the face combined with it being a first appearance. 5? I dunno.
  16. Ok now that I am home... we will try this again... You are having a brain fart. 1 - Someone posts a listing where they say it is crazy that this book / this piece of art is being offered over eBay at this price. It will never sell. 2 - The book then sells over eBay. Over eBay as in the venue that the book is sold over. Those that posted the book or piece of art as being crazily overpriced are then left questioning whether the book or piece of art were truly overpriced.
  17. Someone from this forum does not have to buy the book. The book just has to legitimately sell.
  18. Yes it is. make the thread as in someone points out your book... then someone else buys it
  19. I would imagine that Godzilla 9.8’s are tougher than something like an ASM from the same era in a 9.8. People saved their ASM. Godzilla was at one point dollar bin fodder.
  20. Most successful side hustle ever has got to be my baby bro... those that know... know. Kid is living the dream... and doing it well.
