The Ramones were heavily influenced by Lennon and McCartney in some cases wanting to be a 'punk version' of the Beatles. In fact, the story goes that the band got their name from Paul's pseudonym when he would check into hotels. This video was shot as a slight homage to the Beatles' rooftop concert in 69'.

Ohhh... this was a fun thread... I liked doing an album or a group of songs from an artist... Let me see what I got.

Exactly what he said. Except I would stick with Global Shipping. I am dealing mostly with jewelry these days so it is a different type of customer than one with comics. I chat the person up and ask them what I did wrong and what I could have done better. A couple of weeks ago on my 'other account' someone filed an item was not as described. This was after they sent me a message prior to buying it wondering if I could ship it immediately because they had an engagement that weekend they wanted to wear it to. I made sure they had it before the weekend. When they tried to return it because it was not as described, I contacted the buyer and asked what was wrong. Through our conversation they admitted the following: The measurements were exactly as I described The pictures were a great representation of the item The item was received on time and she wore it to her engagement party There was nothing scratched, chipped, or broken Yet, she wants to say that it is not as described... If it is not as described or she genuinely doesn't like it, she is not wearing it to, assumed to be photographed wearing it to an engagement party. I worked retail in college. This is the old, 'Wear it out and then return it so I don't have to pay for it scam." One of my relatives used to do something like this. They would buy something and wear it out and then return it when they didn't want to use it anymore. They never "shopped." They borrowed. I am not running a free lending program for jewelry where I then have to pay shipping fees to 'borrowers'. eBay at first denied my cancellation of the forced return and said they would look into it if I filed a complaint against the buyer. You keep calling and calling and calling until you reach the right person willing to look at what is going on. Authorize them to read your messages. Forced return denied. Chat the person up. Use it against them when you present your case. This is not a customer. Do not promote bad behavior. Its mind numbing with all of these eBay complaints. There are so many of you around here that are lawyers who act as advocates on behalf of others. Be an advocate for yourself. Provide excellent customer service for CUSTOMERS. There is no such thing as customer service for those that were never customers to begin with. Be relentless. Be unforgiving. Admit when you are wrong or when it's even possible you COULD be wrong and make it right. But when someone wants to get stoooopid. Be your own advocate.

That would be like going to Italy and eating at Olive Garden or going to Mexico to find the finest Taco Bell. -

I thought the same but since it's public knowledge what I paid for it, $735 + tax, and considering what Captain America Comics are going for lately, that even if it comes back with restoration or incomplete, I can still sell it if I do not want to keep it and not lose out on too much if I sell it on eBay at a ridiculous markup since things like that are not always up for sale there. With what I see Schomburg Caps going for, if it comes back blue label, then I am still ahead of the game. This will definitely be part of the eventual guess the grade contest. -

Maybe... but I want it in a CGC holder and I trust Joe. Let’s just say that with a press I don’t think it would hurt even if the book goes from s PGX 4.5 to s cgc 4.0. PGX graded it in 2006. -

Dear @joeypost - I have another book to send off with the stack when I finally get my butt in gear and send a package off. Each time I am ready to do the paperwork something else comes up that I might send down if I win. Currently sitting in a non CGC holder at a 4.5... rolling the dice on this book graded in 2006. -

It was actually a lackluster day on the LIRR and the subway system for me. It was a damp and rainy day so the costumes were cut to a minimum. Even I decided to abandon a costume this year. I am saving it for next. One time I met Jaybuck at a bar in the city on Halloween. I think that was the year I was dressed as Forrest Gump when he goes running.
