  1. In his friend's room where he drops the lego set: That is Lego Death Star 10188 (New one was not released during filming.) There is a Vintage Kenner Star Wars AT-AT (Incomplete on his desk) When he actually drops the lego set to the right is the nose for a Star Wars X-Wing... edition undetermined. When Peter takes off the costume there are five vintage 77'-85' SW figures and what I think are two POTF2 95' figure on the shelf. I can make out Vintage Hoth Leia, Vintage R2-D2 (but not which one), Vintage X-Wing Luke, Vintage Sandperson, POTF2 Stormtrooper, POTF2 X-Wing Luke. There is a Mets Piazza #31 HOF pennant hanging on the wall. This means they are Mets fans. The movie is now ruined for me.
  2. That is true. People often forget how treacherous the waters surrounding Manhattan and the ports are. Lot's of horror and shipwrect stories. Makes the building of all the bridges 50-150 yrs ago even more impressive. The waters around this area are still pretty gross. There is still a slick, greasy feel to the water.
  3. After riding the subway I have come to the conclusion there is nothing worth digging around for.
  4. I am guessing we are going to see a movie that takes place in the 1960's. They need to throw more communists at Indy though. I am also guessing that trying to find a McGuffin is the hard part. Chronologically: Temple of Doom: 1930's - Archeological adventure - emulates 1930's serials Raiders: 1930's - vs Nazi's - religious artifact to be used by the German war machine - emulates 1930's serials Crusade: 1930's - vs Nazi's - religious artifact to be used by the German war machine - emulates 1930's serials Kingdom: 1950's - vs Communists - sci fi McGuffin - emulates 1950's b-movies 1960's... what type of genre is really reflective of the time? Will we get a sort of road adventure movie or more sci-fi? Perhaps Indy goes straight up against the communists in some sort of JFK assassination or uncover's a plot to retrieve a National Treasure type of thing... I am curious to see what they can do with an Indiana Jones set in the 1960's, because that is clearly the period they can shoot for given Ford's age.
  5. With the situation of changing directors on The Flash, I wouldn't be surprised if it was bumped to July 2018 and Batman takes the March 2018 place. I honestly think that Justice League is being offered too soon... By the time of JL1 we have only seen: Superman: MOS Superman v Batman Suicide Squad Wonder Woman In fact from what it looks like, since Wonder Woman is almost a flashback or period piece and Suicide Squad is slightly removed from the DCU main storyline, we have only seen two in universe movies before the big team up. If I am unfamiliar with these characters, why should I get excited for their cinematic teamup? Aquaman has the ability to be awesome and for Mamoa to bring a new sense of respect to what has commonly been referred to as a joke in DC comics. I would have bumped Aquaman and either GL or Flash up before the big assembly of characters in Justice League.
  6. I don't see Jason Mamoa as comedic. The entire character design is screaming dark and brooding.
  7. Really different commission choices. I do not mean that in a bad way. These are definitely not the cookie cutter requests. These are unique and definitely important to the storyline. I am genuinely impressed. I have to step up my request game.
  8. I like these. The Snake Eyes sketch by Bright is a particular favorite. Good for you.
  9. The ASM collection of first appearances is actually quite impressive. Punisher Venom Kingpin Scorpion Sandman Lizard Electro Carnage Dr Octopus Green Goblin - Norman Osborn Chameleon Kraven Shocker Hobgoblin Silver Sable Gwen Stacy Green Goblin II - Harry Osborn Vulture Rhino Mary Jane Watson Prowler Morbius Black Cat
  10. Exactly right Buzz. Marvel Spotlight 32
  11. Go for the obtainable larger keys first. I would rather have one comic featuring the first appearance of a A level character than a dozen first appearances of C level characters.
  12. Sensational Spider-man Vol 2 #40 was an interesting issue to me when I first read it. It was "telling" on a few levels. It made me realize how good Spider-man could be even with Mary Jane. It made me believe (still to this day) that there was division within the Marvel ranks as to whether or not they should split of Pete and MJ. Check out the ending of this book. B BTW... this ranks up there with one of the better issues of Spider-man written in the last ten years. I saved a copy as part of my ASM collection even though it was outside that title. Pete goes through the usual Pete thing of questioning whether or not Spider-man is worth his personal sacrifice. Many issues have tackled the issue but it is here that Pete sees the impact he has made while walking the beach. It's a decent read and well worth its place in the Spider-man mythos.
  13. So are we supposed to send you selling offers if we have some of the items on your list for sale?
  14. All you really need to see is the Highlander I, then the TV Series, and then Highlander IV: Endgame with Adrian Paul. (See the Directors / Producers cut of IV for an even better movie)
  15. This may be pimping a website... but it is not mine... I do not get anything out of it and I am linking directly to the site so any traffic generated does not benefit me in any way. BBTS... where you can get a lot of things you normally cannot through Amazon or other higher end items or things of that nature has started their CyberMonday sale... Complete sets of Marvel Legends, Transformers, and other items that you might find interesting. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/list.aspx?list=22574 There are even a few MP Transformers on clearance between the CyberMonday and Black Friday ongoing listings... MP Bumblebee and MP Tracks are on clearance. They are pretty nice pieces to be honest.
  16. As a seller, I usually leave feedback as soon as the buyer pays. As a buyer, I usually leave feedback as soon as I receive the item. I stopped caring what the other guy does. Current Feedback Score: 2,383 (100%) Feedback as a buyer: 885 Feedback as a seller: 1,857 All feedback: 3,050 No, I do not know why they do not add up... I assume it is because of multiple sales or buys from the same sellers and buyers. Feedback left for others 3,912 As you can see, there are many that do not leave feedback. I think that is because they simply cannot be bothered. Whatever. I either have my new item and they have my money or I have their money and they have a new item. In any event I am happy.
  17. Wrong.... the worst issue is the one with this page in it and only because of this page. What many do not realized is that Romita JR was brought in to do that DPS after the comic had already been scripted and written. Even Marvel had no idea what they were really doing which is why at the bottom there is the disclaimer that says, "Don't ask us." I agree... it is the worst issue ever. It actually caused me to lose my enchantment with comics in general. However, it did make me stop buying almost all current books and focus on Silver keys and some Golden Age that I wanted to focus on. Instead of a $100 a month habit, I started using that money in other places. So... at least there is that.
  18. I've actually had this happen but I went ahead and paid for it. Girl I was seeing was annoyed that I wasn't paying attention and was bidding on CLink stuff. I went to the bathroom and left my phone without locking it. She bought a CGC SS copy of Supergirl 1 signed by the original supergirl. Status: sold the book for profit after it sat on eBay for a year and I am no longer with that girl.
  19. Phil Coulson and Lola are coming to the Lego Marvel Universe.
  20. Kickstarter to turn Larry Hama into an action figure... Article on HISSTANK http://news.hisstank.com/2016/11/21/new-details-larry-hama-action-figure-kickstarter-campaign-60746
  21. VueScan definitely works with Sierra. And El Capitan. I trust the members of this forum. I spent the money and bought vuescan. I have access to my scanner but have to learn how to get the most out of vuescan to maximize my scanning. If anyone has any suggestions I am all years. These are the settings I've been using: Thank you. This is very much appreciated. I also saw a decent deal on eBay and wound up picking up a HP8300. It is amazing how much quicker even one generation machine scans.
  22. Stu... you got off easy. He could have trashed them himself just to create the evidence he needed to return them.
