  1. He has a "best offer" option. It would be funny if everybody here offered him $99. $98
  2. He also has an "original" drawing by Leonardo da Vinci !!!! This could be your chance to own a rare work of art by the greatest artist of all time! Who doesn't ?
  3. Almost a year later... Ha - I actually wound up selling the X-O set. Somehow I did indeed get over it.
  4. I sold a lego promo and received a fast payment. Alessio was also a very pleasant person to deal with.
  5. I have full faith in ComicLink themselves. They may not always do things I like but I do believe that they act in a very fair way and do treat their customers with respect. Fed Ex? Fed Ex can "enjoy their week"
  6. I remember Collectors Comics in Wantagh They sold OA in the 80s which was unusual. Picked up covers for like $50 a pop at the time. Zeck Captain America pages for $25 each. I never got into the art back then myself but would buy a page here and there as birthday presents for comic collecting friends. They had a lot of connections since there were so many artists living in the area on Long Island. I remember that Mike with the ponytail and glasses wound up working for Powerhouse in Levittown/Hicksville and I remember Joey died of (I think) cancer related illness after moving on to work for Diamond. I wonder whatever happened to the rest of them. I discovered some of the best comics and music from that store from what would go on when the owners weren't around and the kids ran the shop.
  7. If it means anything to you, I'm in the same boat. My CL win was "delivered" today at house according to the tracking. I get home, no package. Spoke with my Mom and son who was in the house at the time, said they didn't see anything. I really think they delivered it to the wrong house. They're investigating now, but I really don't anything good coming out of this. FYI, it was a 9.0 copy of Tec 411. This is the "new" way of employee theft. They "deliver" the package, and the insurance you buy on these packages does not apply to parcels that are "delivered" and they can't find them. I have lost 3 parcels this way through different senders over the last 3 years. One of the things that would help your case and everyone else's is by calling CLink and asking them for assistance. My dislike of FedEx is well documented here. But I believe that when I called CLink they also called Fed Ex and complained. Let the company itself put pressure on Fed Ex and at the same time let CLink know that they should offer shipping options outside of FedEx.
  8. Why does it take so many years to either get a commission or a refund? And if a refund is being given... It must be nice to a get an interest free loan for that duration.
  9. I felt the same way which is why I did the same as you...
  10. I already started my Christmas shopping... Going to probably throw one of these in toward the forum grab bag... and maybe a few other things. OR
  11. How should one go about telling a member that they are not welcome to shop in a sales thread? Just based upon his general overall attitude that I have seen on the boards, I have banned a member from my sales threads as can be seen from previous sales threads I would not deal with Solarcadet1 and now Hulk1962 If I publicly announce it No HOS, Probies or Hulk1962/SupergirlDC1959 is it inciting? If I privately warn the person in advance then am I harassing them? I publish the name here as I do not want to deal with this Hulk/Supergirl person. I may NEVER offer anything they want to buy, but on on the off chance that I do, their money is no good to me. Putting a caveat in the thread that I have the ability to turn down any sale from certain members I choose not to do business with turns away prospective buyers because someone out there might thing, "Does he mean me?" So that is not an option. What's the line of thinking on this?
  12. I think they changed the address before they ordered and then went shopping. Either way... Post Office in Woodbridge and Port Reading both made mention that they have a lot of calls regarding this address.
  13. Good call... and Thank You ! I guess that answers that. I had to go through orders as the actual listing was deleted off of eBay but it still shows up as a transaction in my eBay sales.
  14. I accidentally deleted it when I was writing while on hold... I updated it. DO NOT ship any items to: Pavel Borisov 600 Markley St # 063333 Port Reading, NJ 07064-1813 United States Buyer bought a lego set this morning in the amount of $50 using the account of: lunaxxxchik Their feedback was (92) eBay notified me that the buyer account was fraudulently used and that I should not ship the item. eBay notified me after the Post Office was closed and with priority shipping the item has a transit time of one day. It will be at its destination by the time I am able to contact USPS tomorrow. This is the problem with shipping fast. eBay was useless and is having me call a post office in New Jersey. New Jersey Post Offices are closed. When I asked what is the next course of action, because it will be in the buyer's hands by tomorrow, I was told that it is the cost of doing business. With that said... I am now open to doing offline eBay sales. Buzz, You shipped to the address ebay provided? You should be covered, correct? Very interesting question that still has to be played out. eBay says I am not covered but they refunded my selling fees. They also removed the positive feedback I left the buyer as well as the listing. Paypal says that as of now no claim for the removal of the funds spent have been issued so the money is still in my account. The CSR on PayPal said that since I printed the label through eBay, with funds being taken out of my PayPal account to pay for the label, that I should be covered and once again, that the eBay CSR should not have told me I was not covered.
  15. Haven't decided. I think you get away doing something like that once. I used that card up twice already over a decade ago. Now, I have too much to lose. However... The thought is there as to what I could do to spook the guy.
  16. BTW... why did I order the Advent Calendar ? Simple... I own one of these and have it on my coffee table. All of those little builds will find their way into a new maze board a few days after Christmas. When I saw the micro builds I thought it would be perfect for a customized game board. Lego Maze. Check out this google link... there are a lot of interesting customized boards for this set: Google Image Search - Custom Lego Maze boards
  17. Giving you all a heads up since these go QUICK every year. Lego purposely sells out / shorts these since they are no good to them after Christmas. Last year Advent calendars were sold out by Thanksgiving. They are priced the same on Amazon and Lego Shop at Home The Star Wars advent Calendar $40 Star Wars Advent Calendar on Lego Shop at Home Star Wars Advent Calendar on Amazon The City / Town Advent Calendar $30 City Advent Calendar on Lego Shop at Home City Advent Calendar on Amazon Pros and cons on who to order it from... If you are ordering the SW Advent then go with it from Lego itself. Lego is currently offering free shipping on any purchase $35 and up. So if you are looking for free shipping it doesn't matter. However if you order the Star Wars set through lego you can at least get some rewards points. If you are ordering the Firefighter centric city advent calendar and nothing else then you will not qualify for free shipping with lego and the rewards points you would earn pale in comparison to the money you save in shipping getting it through Amazon if you are a prime member. BTW - The City Lego one is already backordered. These do actually go pretty quickly. Side note... the links to do not benefit anyone. Originally I just opened the page up from a Lego site I visit. (FBTB.net if you want to go support them). I used the direct links to Amazon and Lego so it doesn't benefit anyone else but Lego or Amazon itself. I personally chose to order it using the Link from FBTB.net though to throw some love to that site.
  18. I posted this over in the eBay Blocked Thread but after talking to a USPS Worker in that area I figured I should make it more prominent. The Short: Sold a $50 Star Wars Lego set on eBay and shipped the item to a confirmed address. I received a message after the item was shipped that the account was fraudulently used and the item was in route to an address that was changed from the original eBay user's own. Not going into the eBay drama of dealing with their ineptness... go check out the other thread for that. Called the post office in this area this morning anyway. As soon as I started to describe the situation, the CSR for USPS asked if this was a package sent to 600 Markley Street Port Reading, NJ 07064? Umm... why yes... yes it is... She told me that they have been receiving MANY complaints. The property is a warehouse that appears to be for sale but still in use somehow. She also said that the address is currently under investigation. She tried pulling the package for me but it was already in route and it was eventually delivered this afternoon one day after I shipped it out. So... a warehouse is being used as an address for many parcels initiated through fraudulent means. She also told me that the packages have been addressed to multiple people. In my case it was Pavel Borisov. So 600 Markley Street Port Reading, NJ 07064 Don't ship anything to this address especially if it might catch up to any of the things that some of us sell online. I figured a Star Wars Lego Set fit that genre that might be shared with some of the stuff we all seem to sell.
  19. It's strange but if it honestly is a bad vibe and not buyer's remorse can you really blame him? There are so many scams and bad stories out there that even the most faithful are becoming skeptical and this is the environment that has been cultivated.
  20. Buyer paid, item shipped. By the time the Post Office in Port Reading answers the phone tomorrow the item will already be on the truck out for delivery if not delivered with the morning mail. I ship fast - same day if possible... Might be time to change all that.
  21. When NP Grisham wants to know why sometimes I chew out a CSR's it is because their is a disconnect with reality sometimes on the part of the CSR. I had the CSR arguing with me that I had to call the post office before they close. She could not comprehend that just because the post office was still open in California that it was already closed in NY and NJ. I called PayPal and they offered much better advice and at least comprehended the problem and I will work through them. Even if it is not decided in my favor, I walk away from talking with PayPal that they are at least comprehending the issue and trying to figure out a way to resolve it within company parameters. Once again, I walk away from dealing with a eBay CSR that honestly has no clue and no course of action other than shift responsibility. Ridiculous.
