Can I ask the point of this "locked points" thread idea? It has always been unintelligible to me. But why, some say, the LTPC? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain? Why, almost 90 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas? We choose the LTPC. We choose the LTPC in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

Unveiled then at some point this weekend. I suck on graphic design but have no problem maintaining it. Could someone create a banner and PM it to me?

I spent a lot on Lego this month as I wait until double points month to buy the things I want that Amazon never has cheaper. I forgot about the holiday train though and may make a purchase this weekend. The bricks in the Pet shop are all sorts of fun to kid for anything else. Been thinking of turning a brownstone into Doctor strange's place

There are two boardies who I have told privately that I will not do business with them. I believe that it should be handled in a behind the scenes manner. However, if either of those boardies ever decided to claim something in a thread of mine without my wishes I would then call public attention upon the fact that they were previously warned to stay away privately. The one that was the most annoying to me was the boardie that claimed a bunch of things "as per PM" when no deal was struck. I woke up to find he made a deal in that he took everything in the thread as per PM. In his PM he said he would take everything in remaining at half off despite the fact that no such deal was offered and that was the first time he had PM'd me. THAT will get you on my instant ban list 4Eva

Bingo... But as of now I have to rely on red and blue instead of purple and blue since many of the pieces I need are not made in purple. If I do not like the way it looks I may abandon the project all together and make a giant Lego Spider-man. The Silver Surfer is a chinese knock off character.

Not sure all this talk about Jason is really going to go anywhere good. Jason had his demons. His ex-wife needed the money and sold the books. Doug got involved because of a board member who was helping to broker the sale of his collection after his ex-wife reached out to that board member to help out. The specifics are definitely out there, but again, it's really nobody's business and I'm not sure it'd be productive to have a conversation about all this. Oh, I was not alluding to shadiness on the part of a boardie... There are many here who have directed families to the doorstops of various auction houses and dealers. If someone reached out to me to handle their collection in case something happened, Doug is the last guy I talk to. It was more of a 'but really, why Doug' (since it is Doug) and who would do such a thing?

The real question is this... exactly who led his wife to Doug (Pedigree Comics)?

You only get double points the 1st thru the 4th next month. That is VERY good to know. I thought it was through the whole month. I have a bunch of things that I am interested in that I will pull the trigger on then. I bought the Force Awakens Falcon but am glad that I did not wait since ... well for no other reason than I wanted it right then and there... Hey Buzz, while I was at the Lego store last night I picked up Wall-e and also found out that they extended the double points now goes to 14th. \ Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of driving out there tonight. I am assuming that the WALL•E's have been fixed then and I wanted to grab one on double points before they sell out until after the double points are over. I have two more parts orders coming in over the next couple of days. I will show part of something 'fun' off, hopefully by Sunday.

This place was great until the person who registered exactly after me arrived. Every member after that has done nothing more than bring down the internet real estate that this forum exists in. BTW, the person who registered before me probably said the same exact thing.
