I cannot be bothered with that nonsense. I believe in what comes around goes around. If I know of something that someone is looking for I will PM them and point it out to them. People have done the same for me. They don't ask for a finder's fee or as an intermediary to negotiate the deal, they simply introduce me to the person. What goes around comes around.

Because true comic book fans like their aliens looking like humans. And wearing fetish clothing.

If Spectre thinks the apology was insufficient and backhanded, he has the right to be indignant. I don't think anybody else should feel insulted. You don't have a dog in the hunt. Just my opinion. Spectre was obviously willing to make the deal with JD even though he had him on ignore, since he removed him from his list to offer up the book. Neither do you and you voiced your opinion on the whole situation. I simply countered. I have no problem with Swick nor do I know Spider-Man on Tilt from a hole in the wall. I just don't like the tendency to call foul so quickly. I also think we turned to posting PRIVATE MESSAGES very quickly. As I said earlier in the discussion, I thought we were not allowed to post PMs without consent of both parties. I'll look back through my PMs because I had a discussion with Arch about this once. Edit: My discussion was more about claims a poster was making in PMs. We didn't get into posting them publicly. However, haven't people gotten strikes for posting PMs before? I feel like I've seen that. Let it gooooooooo let it goooooooooo

Why is it that Galactus cannot be a cloud? Wasn't it established that Galactus is in the form that the beings before him are capable of viewing him as? To tell the truth... Galactus as a planet devouring cloud makes more sense than a purple giant that sticks a straw into the core of the Earth and sucks that stuff down like a fat kid with a slurpee.

Rocky defeats communism. End of story.

Sorry Boscoe... But I can see a trailer and instantly assess whether or not it is something I want to pay money to see. The only 'doom' worth mentioning in FF is the box office draw. Now on the other hand, as ashamed as I am to say it... Deadpool (just saw the Red Band trailer) has my interest. Now, I do not need it to be close to the Lee-Kirby source material because to tell the truth, I do not care enough about the source material and have always maintained that what worked on newsprint in 1962 may not work on screen almost 50 years later. The movie does not inspire me to spend money seeing it. If it is free on TV or netflix? I will sit down and watch it at home where I can take a break whenever I want. But from what I have seen from the trailers, footage and yes even word of mouth both leaked (why 'did' Disney part ways with him?) and from the reviews of those that have seen it, I have no interest in seeing this.

This thread has me missing the LTPC thread again. Now I am feeling down in reflection of what has been lost.

So... I am allowed to talk about it but am not allowed to use any of the phrases or quotes that the writer used in discussing the movie. I am paraphrasing their review in my words. You can be believe me or not. It does not matter. Couple of things - "no" I am not telling anyone that knows me via PM or Text message any more information than I say here. Don't even bother asking. Sorry, I cannot. The movie bombs on many levels. It views as if a -script was written, scenes were shot, producers, directors and test audiences did not like the dailies so new scenes were written to alter the tone of the film. It was not done as seamlessly as they hoped. There is too much brooding, too much angst, too much of a weak -script. From what I read of the review, it will need to do well overseas or on video release.

Hey, Thing... how ya doin? I heard you're in a new Fantastic Four movie. What's that all about? Those are some nice rocks. I like rocks. I also produced Entourage. Anyway, good to see you 'Thing'. Say hi to your mother for me!

hey Jay... what's going on?

You can easily compare wardrobe on all three films. My opinion... which is absolutely meaningless... Thing 1 - Corman - Most comic accurate but too cartoony. Leads me to believe that the Thing is not really capable of being directly translated from the source material in a way that will present it as it would be in the real world. Thing 2 - Guy from the Shield version - (MIchael Chicklas?) - shows promise had some mass to him. Thing 3 - Current version. Thing is built like a tank. Guy is a walking mountain as far as design and I have to say, I am VERY impressed with this design. With that said... really don't have an interest in seeing this. It just has a hokey feel to it in my eyes. However, Jordan may be the best thing about the whole movie... go figure!

He is selling multiple copies. He can easily say he is selling 20 copies here and 20 copies there. The link to his website looks like it's for pics. He can alter the wording slightly and still comply. The book is to be exclusive to the boards, not the title. I never thought of it like that. Then I guess just tell us that there's only "x" available for the boards exclusively. Add image tags to the picture and we don't see a link to his website. Yes, I have done the same thing as he has as recently as two weeks ago. I got a few SDCC exclusives. I put one up on eBay and put a duplicate up here. Frankly, I never understood the board exclusive thing but I comply as that is the nature of the boards. The board should only care so long as I honor the commitment on the boards above all others. Not a discussion really... just a comment.

Page rates increased some, but it was mostly the royalties that brought you the big paychecks. Pencillers may have gotten $200 per page, but they were getting 10 cents (or whatever) per copy sold. Lyle got money because Robin had like 4 different hologram covers and it was ordered really heavily. A lot of second stringers made good money because you'd pop a hologram or a foil cover or whatever, and stores ordered like crazy. Didn't matter that none of them sold to customers. Andrew Pepoy worked on the ASM 365 hologram art. And he said that it was one of the biggest paydays he ever had. That cover is a guilty pleasure of mine. The silver hologram worked really well with that black cover. Throw in a new direction for Spider-man and the first appearance of Spider-man 2099, and you can still find me picking up that book whenever I see NM copies in the $1-$2 bins.

You guys need to hug it out. Think of the children.

Rocky Balboa (Rocky VI) was actually a very strong sequel in the franchise. I thought it was quite well done and had a lot of similar tones as the first one. 76% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes

I blame all of this on the loss of the LTPC thread.
