  1. Sold a gameboy game to company that created it which was kind of weird. I had it with the original instructions and the box so they may have wanted it for their archives. Sold a couple of old Disney things to a state senator. I cannot remember his name. I have the envelope somewhere.
  2. Buzz does take the pics with him wearing the shoes What people do with shoes that I was going to throw out anyway... is their business. However... I am not going to lie. I received some really out their questions from listing these. I pretty much ignore all of them. If you do this, you will see what I mean and just shake your head. If my old shoes are what someone wants... then whatever. I am tempted to list my toothbrush the next time I wear one out.
  3. Used? Yes - woke up to find another pair sold - $30 for the old worn out sneakers with the buyer paying to have them shipped to Australia.
  4. Hey... on a lighter note... Remember when I mentioned that I offer my old shoes and sneakers as a joke on eBay? We are talking like 'old'? Well... one pair sold tonight... Just saying.
  5. VueScan works like a charm and I think is probably worth purchasing. They seem to update it regularly and I haven't had a problem in the several months I've used it. My two cents on that X-Men scan is that the resolution is too low. I think it should be high enough so you can easily read the text on the label. Good point and I agree... 300 p/i However... I am going to keep playing with the scanner though.
  6. I've been playing with the scanner for the last hour balancing resolution of the scan vs how quick the device actually scans. As was suggested, silver and modern age books scan better than Golden Age books due to the depth of the Golden Age slab. I am still considering purchasing vuescan or the program in the app store as the HP software continues to experience some problems. The HP software will sometimes suggest for me to close down the program and restart and other times for me to restart everything after timing out. Here are scans of X-Men 266 at 150 pixels per inch.
  7. Get The Hood leveled up. With his constant stealing of AP he can speed up the time to you getting attacks while slowing down the opponent. My favorite character. Wolverine as Patch is my ace in the deck. I still like him better than the X-Force version. I have Patch at Level 166 4 Yellow, 4 Red and 5 Green . Black Panther and Captain America - Steve Rogers version are also, what I consider one of the most powerful in the game. I want to see how much of the purple stuff I can generate in a week, so right now I am up to 27,141 and am leaning on leveling up either X-Force Wolverine or the three star Magneto.
  8. Thoughts? Going to bed... this is with the HP software.
  9. My 8250 arrived... Obviously the HP software does not work as was suggested by other Mac users on this forum. So... Vuescan Basic for $29.99 or Vuescan Pro for $79.99 or Exact Scan (In Mac Store) for $79.99 Exact Scan Pro (In Mac Store) for $129.99 Let me know here or PM... curious to see what people use. I am using a Mac desktop OSX 10.8.5
  10. Approved... Thanks (thumbs u you better get us some rewards I wonder if I can share covers with any of you. I already Maxed out the Gold color cover Hulk, Black Panther, Patch Wolverine, Steve Rogers and a couple of others yet I still receive one of their covers every now and then. It would be nice to send that to one of you rather than cash it in for 500 of the purple stuff, which I can earn at any point.
  11. Nice buy. Lots of interesting history in those. And they are becoming harder to come by. I have obtained a few issues here and there but never seen a boatload.
  12. You are going to be different and order one in red aren't you?
  13. Friend (board lurker) just brought this to my attention. In case any of you REALLY want to be a Winter Soldier... http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=84469&vid=1&pid=146639022
  14. I really cannot comprehend how Marvel can handle Quicksiler better than that. As far as the deleted scenes, I stopped buying DVD's Blu Rays, so I will have to wait until they are published online. Is there anything super special though that I am missing? I probably should read / reread the last 100 pages of this thread.
  15. You might have a LOT of alliance rewards coming your way. I play in the mornings or afternoons going to and coming from work. They also refunded me all of the coins that I spent on alliance spots as a surprise on Veteran's day. So I might be putting those coins back into the system.
  16. Nice Joe page, Recondo is certainly a figure I remember fondly, and Stalker was my first ever Joe - my dad brought it back as a gift after he'd been away for a month on military exercises. He had no idea what he started! Very cool page, congrats! Thanks... I am always looking for Marvel Joe pages and usually throw in whenever the opportunity presents itself but even more so when I see something that was of particular interest to me back then due to figures owned or first comics read. For some reason, despite the Marvel series adding up to 191 original issues, I do not see a lot of original art out there.
  17. Just finished watching it for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am guessing that the changes to the timeline with Wolverine in regards to how he gets his skeleton laced with adamantium and the how and why Jean and Scott are still alive is similar to Spock and the Abrams Star Trek series. Everything happened just a slight bit differently. All major events have occurred except for the one they were avoiding but just a tad bit differently. One thing I thought of was the idea that this film depicted an attempt of a course correction that could already have been trying to course correct a previous course correction. At the end of Wolverine 2 (The Wolverine) I was under the impression that Oliver Trask was alive and well. This would imply he did not die in 1973. So what happened between Wolverine 2 and DOFP? Perhaps the bleak future presented was due to Trask living. They send Wolverine back and Trask ends up dead at the hands of Mystique (not depicted in this movie). Now we have an even bleaker future. Wolverine goes back and Mystique is presented as a mutant who saves the others creating a warmer future where mutants are embraced. (which was depicted in this film.) Just my 2¢
  18. I have shared some stuff that I recently picked up and quietly tucked some other stuff away. Here is where I show my age... Picked up a page a few months ago from GI Joe 20 which was one of the first comic books I ever read let alone one of the first GI Joe books I ever read. That page featured Clutch in a solo story who was the first figure I ever received. Tonight there were a slew of vintage Joe pages up for auction that were ending on eBay tonight. I bet on all of them and would have taken any and all of them if I could. I wound up winning Page 16 from issue 38 featuring the introduction of Recondo and features Stalker. Recondo was the second Joe I ever received and the first I ever picked out. Stalker was the third. Woo hoo. 1984 was a magical year for toys. It was the second to last year of Star Wars and Jedi was still being pushed while the GI Joe universe was rocketing to eclipse all other lines and the Joe comic book was one of the most popular comic books around.
  19. Just picked up an 8250 on eBay. As I do not plan on upgrading from 10.8.5 just yet... we will see what happens.
  20. I suspect there is more to that story than a $5k value.
