  1. So I just opened up Lego Batman 3... I am already liking how they threw in the Danny Elfman score from the 89' movie.
  2. According to my tracking numbers... Lego Batman 3 should have arrived. Looking forward to trying that out.
  3. A Lego fanatic at work has purchased knockoff figures from Korea. He said they are so well done, you would have a hard time telling the difference on the better prepared figures. They must be using machine-pressed decals. Yes, some of them are incredibly well done. The thing I would be VERY careful of, and please pass this along, is some of the materials coming out of China. I would not trust some of the knock off figures with small kids that may put things in their mouths or kids who bite bricks apart. I ordered one of the figure packs over the summer just to check them out. The bricks coming out of China had a greasy feel to them, That screams trouble to me. Also if you buy a minifigure second hand and want to make sure that they are authentic Lego look for the following: Where to find the Lego corporate mark on a Mini figure: Legs: Lego mark is on the inside left leg by the toes as well as in between the studs that lead to the torso Torso: On the top of the neck / stud / peg that connects to the head as well as inside the torso under where the left shoulder would be. You have to pull off the arm to see it. Head: Turn the head upside down and you will see it inside of the head at the top as well as the exterior of the head on the reverse Hair / Hat / Helmet / Headgear - Interior of the piece.
  4. This was a Lego employee exclusive which is a pretty nice snag as well, considering what they go for on the second hand market. Either way, their 2014 employee set has an interesting back story as it was crafted by a suggestion submitted by a regular customer which will be turned into a set itself later this year, Lego 21301: Birds, which is available January 1st, the same day as the Slave I.
  5. They DID post a high def copy of "The Interview" so there is that...
  6. Heeeey back up and running. Oh and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now on its way.
  7. I still have every game I have ever bought. Mostly PS1 and 2 games. I also with every game I have the game guide by either Brady Games or Squaresoft. Wonder what that stuff is worth now.... Basically nothing (gaming guide) I sold one copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance two weeks ago. I had the Brady guide in NM to Mint condition. I looked it up on eBay and Half.com and just added it free of charge as a surprise since the last one went for 75 cents.
  8. 11PM and still shut out. Did a hard reset and nuthin According to Microsoft they are working hard at getting things back up and running. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status?icid=furl_status
  9. There was something satisfying about getting "something" in selling my old 360 games over the past few weeks. Cannot do that with a digital copy.
  10. I cannot log in either. I just got back to it and am dee-nied like Bill Nye the Science Guy.
  11. Just checked and came back to report the same - hackers take responsibility for shutting everything down. ... what a move on the hacker's part and I hope something heavy falls on them, like a North Korean satellite. Me? I will simply do something else with my time. However it IS Christmas and there are a LOT of kids unwrapping an X-Box or Playstation who finally got their big gift and would like to test it out. They may not understand that while Santa gave you a new gaming system, the hackers decided you cannot use it today. Classless and move on Christmas. Doesn't today also mark the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Armistice? People cannot give it a rest for even one day a year?
  12. X-Box live is also down, the last I checked this morning. My Nat is open and I am using a hardline connection. Error is on their end in that they cannot handle the traffic. In an interesting turn of events. My brother gave me his old 360 with a 120gb hd. He heard my X-Box 360 died.
  13. Cheapest I am seeing is on Amazon partnered with Go Hastings for $39.99 + shipping. However, I see a consistent complaint concerning multi-player and lag due to a lack of a dedicated server. Is it as bad as some are saying? My cousin has it and told me also to pick this up.
  14. From a technical aspect, I agree with Hockey - the game is breathtaking in what a game is capable of presenting. However, there is a genuine disconnect from the narrative by starting off with Back Flag and Unity as the first Assassin Creed games I have ever played. I find myself going on Wikipedia right now to see what the backstory is as I believe the developers do not have players like me in mind when creating these sequels. Friday... I think I am picking up Halo or Titanfall. *EDIT: Lately I have a hard time sleeping again. Tossing and turning in my bed when an idea hits me. Why wait? Get to half.com and eBay before everyone wakes up in a few hours and gets a new system to go shopping. Picked up Titanfall for $15 Like New Picked up Lego Batman 3 Still Sealed for $35.
  15. I tired to do the NES emulator thing last year on my Mac with the original control pad adapted to a USB. (They sell them on Amazon). Unfortunately I could never get it to work. I would love to play the original NES games. Either way... I am still fooling around with Assassin's Creed Black Flag... I have no idea what is going on. I'm in the past. Then I find out that this is Total Recall. Now I have no investment in the character since it is all a vacation dream anyway. What the?
  16. Received a substantial amount of money in Gift Cards today with more than half of the amount being a Best Buy card. I sold off all of my old 360 games except for Lego Marvel last week as I had plans to upgrade around April. April came early. Figured it would be better to grab something sooner than later before the deals and bundles dried up. The last time I bought a gaming console was in 2005 with the 360. It lasted me ten years. Let's see how long the X-Box One lasts. Why 360? It came down to a few major things. 1 - The PS4 controller felt foreign to me. 2 - Both of my cousins and one of my friends are on X-Box One 3 - I already have an X-Box Live Account 4 - Did I mention that the PS4 controller felt foreign to me? So... X-Box One Assassin's Creed Bundle and I threw in a Rechargeable Battery Pack. Game suggestions? The Assassin's Creed games should keep me plenty busy in the rare time I have to play. I want to pick up Lego Marvel as I was in the middle of that, and that game is really fun. I hear good things about Destiny but what else? I am a casual gamer. BTW... I am up setting this whole thing up before the world crashes in about 16 hours as people start unwrapping and setting up their own consoles... As Microsoft is already reporting heavy traffic, this may have been a wise decision not to leave this for tomorrow.
  17. I think it is time - I hate clutter I hate excess. However in 2015 I want to go after something... I will be opening the vaults and running two threads next week as part of a New Year's resolution. One thread will be in the G/S/B and the other will be a Plastic Crack II thread in Mixed consiSting of toys. Just giving a heads up.
  18. My son says WW isn't custom. He has one If you go back and read the thread, the guy states wonder woman is a regular issue. Some of the figures are put together from parts, others are full custom. Spectre is made from regular parts and Sandman (with the exception of the head) was also pieced together. When buying customs though there is a difference between machine pressed and water slide decals. You want machine pressed. The detail is cleaner and more durable. The Stan Lee fig I pictured before was machine printed (as an example)
  19. And if anyone wants a pic or two of the 'tree' and a bit of the area...
  20. This entire sign is made up of red, yellow, black and white lego minifigures... no seriously.
