  1. In the mail today a great Batch of Brazilian books. Some cool Ebals from the 60´s, JLA 1,3,4,5,9 ASM 13, Bat 112, Brave and the Bold 30 a Bat and Sup I need to investigate more and load of Mystery in Space from 1961 and 1962 from Cruzeiro Editors, in color.
  2. Some know this already but for those who don´t, Mike Deodato was making Conan Covers for a Brazilian Editor in the mid 90´s before he went to the US and reached Comic Star status. Here are some I got today.
  3. So, you were the one that got the seller to cancel my bid and end the auction earlier… Nom de dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère.
  4. Very diverse group arrived this week. Especially like the high grade Ebal Bat 222 (1971), the Ebal Bat 234 (1972) and the Tales To Astonish 93 - Ebal 1969. This book also prints the first story of FF1 in Brazil.
  5. That will have to be PM'd.... Certain foreign knowledge is considered top secret and cannot be diseminated out into the general population..... Thanks for diggin my site... put alot of work into the photography of it... consider this, because the books are shot together, everytime I add a book to a set I have to at least reshoot that line of books..... gets tiring, especially with all those foreign Spawns! I will fix the link! Thanks! (thumbs u I wanna be PM too! I know of a really hard one,we both have it, but I have a feeling its not the one you´re talking about. Is it?
  6. I can help you. But you do the searching and I´ll do the talking + buying
  7. The Brazilian with the 301 cover is a soft TPB with 150 pages with 6 assorted stories with Venom so not sure it qualifies, but if both that 1 + the 252 were sold together, maybe you can get a good deal for both.
  8. Completist OCD, the hobby would be doomed without it That 252 is actually an offer book that came with the # 1 of this collection translated as "Spider-Man biggest chalenges" printed by Panini in 2007. Here is the complete collection: http://www.guiadosquadrinhos.com/thumb.aspx?cod_tit=ho011102&esp=&total=2 The 252 book was offered with #1.
  9. I´m not surprised it took that long. That´s really hardcore hunting and an awesome looking set. The one in the pic is from Brazil Its a 2007 reprint so its very recent and even if you don´t have it, it should be very easy to get it Check it here. http://gibisclassicos.blogspot.pt/2011/10/homem-aranha-grandes-desafio-fac-simile.html
  10. That is quite impressive and totally awesome!!! How long did it take you to get all these? But you forgot to add the one is this scan. Right? You´re just missing the scan, right? Ches? CHES??
  11. Sounds like its from the Spanish Forum/Agostini Series (213 issues + 3 Specials) http://www.tebeosfera.com/obras/publicaciones/galeria/conan_el_barbaro_forum_planeta-deagostini_1983.html
  12. Here is another really cool Brazilian Ebal I got before the end of the year. This one was published in 1968 and prints Brave and the Bold 30. Like many Ebals from this time, the Editor gave local artists the chance to show off some of their work. In many cases, the cover has nothing to do with the original, but there are many instances, where the artist just makes its own recreation of the original cover. Sometimes with very unique choices… (Flash with yellow mask) The interior art is the same as the original in B&W
  13. If you like that one, then you would really like the Brazilian Ebal or the Mexican Novaro, both printed just a few months after US original. Here’s my Ebal. I´m pretty sure someone here has the Novaro.
  14. That one was printed in 1995, prints tec 400+402, square bound and its the first issue in a 2 issue special series from Nova Sampa in Brazil. They did also a more extensive run on DC material.Running 36 issues http://www.guiadosquadrinhos.com/thumb.aspx?cod_tit=co068100&esp=&total=2 Here is # 2 of the special series:
  15. Finally managed to catalogue this Ebal. Batman 1st Series - 1959 Even though they used the original art in the interior, the cover was made by a local artist so you get a cover that has no US counterpart, no story credits and the titles of the stories are in a different language, so it’s a hard task just getting 1 book catalogued. This one has 4 stories from 3 diff US DC titles. Story 1 - Batman 112 - 1957 "The Signalman of Crime". -script by Bill Finger, pencils by Sheldon Moldoff. Story 2 - Adventure comics 230 - 1956 "The Tom Thumb Aquaman", art by Ramona Fradon. Story 3 –Adventure Comics 230 – 1956 “ The Outlaw Archers” starring Green Arrow, art by George Papp Story 4 - Superman 115 - 1957 "Jimmy Olsen's Lost Pal" - -script by Otto Binder, art by Al Plastino
  16. It is well known that both Ches and Iscomics are artificial life forms that need no sleep
  17. I posted this way back in this thread, but with the 1:200 Ditko, ASM 700 variant hitting the US stands last month, I thought this would be a good time to post it again As far as I know, up until last month I was able to say that I owned the only comic in the world that had the rejected Ditko cover for AF 15 as a cover. I really liked the sound of that Printed in 1983, it was the first spider-man issue from Distri Editors, from a very small run of 10 issues. It prints AF 15+ a Bonus Story of Strange tales 115
  18. That is my general album and it includes all photos including some private ones. You´ll have to click on the photos 1 at a time. All those books are from Ebal Editors. The Brazilian equivalent to La Prensa + Novaro in Mexico. Ebal was not as not as thorough on the Marvel side of it, but sure on the level with DC Material (thumbs u Is this the reason why many Novidades books are more expensive than the older La Prensa or Novaro? I don’t understand how sometimes the 1980´s reprint is more valuable than the same book, printed in the 1960´s or 1970´s by La prensa or Novaro. You have an explanation for this?
  19. Very unique. I say its probably the only DD7 in the world that has him with a yellow suit.
