  1. looks like he follows your posts pretty regularly... You posted at 8:18 and within an hour his listing has been edited to not include the no hand-writing part of the description... though I cant see in the revision history any note about the description change... maybe it was in the title (which was changed) where are you seeing this ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemRevisionDetails&_trksid=p2047675.l2569&rt=nc&item=261099956968 huh? Where am I seeing what? I see the link, and I see the revision history page (showing changes to the Title and the shipping.... oooooohhh wait *light just came on* you mean the timing right? there are no edits in the time frame that I mentioned... got it... (typing and realization all in realtime) Im confused because trmoore made the mention that the listing "mentions no hand-writing on the cover... " but I dont see that in the listing anywhere... so I assumed that the seller (who in the past has been aware of these type of threads) had changed the listing to avoid being caught in an act of deception... but I see your point, he hasnt edited anything but the title... so TR was that where the "mentions no handwriting on the cover" was?
  2. Wow nice... I see a Ghost Rider #1, a Dr Strange #1, a Defenders #1, a MTU #1, a Heroes for Hire #1, a CAT #1, a first app of the furry version of Beast, a first appearance of the current version of Warlock, a Vault of Evil #1... very nice. Even in mid-grade readerville thats a heck of a snag.

  4. 5 days and you want to add someone to the probation list. You are absolutely jumping the gun... Chill. Out. Cool, thanks, I am new here and I was asking a question to honestly learn the answer. I am used to eBay, so quickness in shipping is important to people, I have made very few transactions so I just wanted to know. How long is too long for an item to have not been sent after payment? I am not a dealer and by no means do I move a lot of books but I can honestly say that I mail everything I have ever sold on eBay and the one item here, the following business day. Do I expect that from everyone? No, but seriously, how long does it take to pack up a single book? 1. Welcome to the boards. This is a great community of comic book hobbyists. 2. Remember this isn't ebay (which exists 100% for commerce), its a collection of hobbyists, who (in most cases) do their best to get things in the mail, or on the other side get things paid for, in a timely manner. But being just hobbyists we all have competing priorities (home, work, health, travel etc) so we cant all be as timely as we would like. As long as the seller is being responsive, and trying to get things done be patient. Not everyone lives in a big city with a PO, has time in every day to make it to a Post Office, or has plenty of shipping supplies on hand, all things that can delay shipping, much less all the other stuff (boss makes you work thru lunch, kid is sick and you are stuck at home, or sometimes it just takes a bit to get to the storage unit and pull the book for shipping). If it takes a week to ship (as long as the seller is still maintaining contact with you in some way) no worries. Week 2 I get a little jittery if the seller is being non-responsive, or seems like s/hes stringing me along) And I think technically both sides have 30 days to complete a transaction before probation lists come into play. there are some dealers on here, and they are usually the fastest to ship/pay/respond because this is part of their business, but most here are just collectors trying to buy and sell as part of their hobbying. again, welcome to the boards!
  5. its almost worth outing the person to see if others have befallen the same fate... you know see if this is a pattern, then everyone can know to not take his buy offers seriously... was it a book you had for sale? Or was it an offer on something in your collection?
  6. My first Flash! Im starting to get an itch for DC Silver Age keys... and this one came up at a nice price over in the marketplace tonight, presenting beautifully so I had to grab it... Professor Zoom has to be considered Flash's arch-rival yes?
  7. Unless you're a total moron, you should never offer something to more than one person at a time in a PM anyway! Really ? I don't see a problem with offering to multiple potential buyers. That's basically what a sales thread does anyways. Not really the same at all; the only way you should offer to multiple people in PM (at least in the form of "if you pay this amount it is yours") is if you include the fact that you are doing so and that the first one to accept will get it. Yeah I think you can do that (offer it to multiple people) but only if you are upfront on that... If you know two guys are looking for the same book and you dont care one way or the other you could offer it to either with the caveat that first PMed I'll take it wins... but that also means you need to follow up and let offeree B know when offeree A took it.
  8. now that I look closely those Nazi's don't have spear-guns or even knives... maybe they are just inviting our diver to a beachside picnic after some diving?
  9. Kubert is swiping/homaging himself? Wonder if he did the second cover even remembering his first cover (or did he just think "what can I do cool with a scuba diver..." and then he though of the same idea he had 22 years earlier but with ghosts in the reflection instead of nazis... or he was asked to do a cover, couldnt think of something and then went back thru his old idea/sketch book and saw the roughs of the OFF cover... either way its funny to see reused ideas
  10. Pretty nice centering on that HOS88, which seems to be notoriously bad...
  11. new addition to the Lady in White collection House of Secrets #95 Nick Cardy cover thanks to HighVoltage for this one!
  12. it is directly tied the number of threads started about Walking Dead... and now we're one closer...
  13. Another Gothic Horror Lady in White Wrightson cover goodness of a lovely shapely lass...
  14. Think I'm gonna be listing my Miracleman TPBs tomorrow... (no vol 3 sorry)
  15. with that last 9.0 selling for under $60k, I'd imagine this single highest would get bid up to the 90s but stall before breaking past $100k
  16. Obviously OW and better is prefer, but CR-OW is acceptable since that is the average PQ for SC22. Now, if this copy in 9.2 has white pages....rocketblast to the moon. good to know, I was wondering if Cream-ish covers were the norm... if only that were part of the census info (and not just available via the direct book ID lookup).
  17. 9.2 with that top right corner? Does the PQ affect the grade at that point? CR-OW is not as sweet as the rest of the grade...
  18. Its not even on the census yet... Was this a resuscitation of one of the 9.0s?
  19. Love the grouping! (but the first book seems out of place since the girl is in a red dress). yeah there are a couple of non-Lady in White Ladies in there... The rest of the books were just soooo gothic-horror-y that I had to get them (the two HoS books) two more coming soon...
  20. with my latest bronze Lady in White, I figured it was time to create a nice family photo).
  21. Ed bought two slabs from me! Paid fast, replied promptly, and was a pleasure to deal with. Deal with him with confidence. Also, his ability to transform into a yellow VW Beetle came in handy during the attacks by those pesky Decepticons. miraclemet
  22. I only give it a 2 out of 10. It is much more fun when they just absolutely lose their mess and post their manifestos filled with expletives and threats. I think he gets at least a 4/10 for effort. He's gone thru about 60% of his total posts and been replacing them with the picture. That's some dedication. Bet that account is gonna be locked any second...
  23. Future Me "remember that time the guy tried to scam sellers here, and when he got caught he changed all of his posts to a picture of dog scrotum?"
  24. and now hes (gecko) going around replacing his posts with what appears to be dog scrotum...
