  1. I've been wanting to say this for a long time. Amazing Man #5 does absolutely nothing for me, whereas Cap #1 has everything going for it. There are a few other issues of Amazing Man that have some nice covers, that I would prefer to own over issue 5, even though it's a key.
  2. I think you're looking for the "Proctologist" thread over in general........ I'll take the Cap also, but I'd like it in the mail and in my hand....my black hand.....
  3. Archie 1. I'll settle for a repro of the suspense and hang it on my wall.
  4. Make sure you read any Captain Future stories in the Starling mags.
  5. Archie. Next to Batman and Superman....Archie is the man.
  6. I bet the poor saps who are losing their homes won't be buying many funnybooks either.
  7. Blasphemy. I blaspheme on a regular basis. I like to blaspheme, I like to boogie... Blasphemy is my life, blasphemy is my wife.
  8. I'm assuming money doesn't matter....so if that's the case DD1. Cooler book.
  9. my pastor frowns on early action in church Sounds like you need to find a new church....
  10. What is this obsession women have with keeping their house clean? I don't get it....all I know is when that vacuum cleaner comes out of the closet, I make tracks to my shop.
  11. I would actually consider repacing the staples with GA staples . It would just be a terrifying wait while it was being done. I've owned books with rusted staples that had no rust migration to the paper and this one looks like it might be the same, since I don't see any staining on the cover. So another school of thought is to just store it in the most stable environment possible.
  12. I'd lobby to have cgc declare staple replacement to NOT be resoration and take the Action 1.
  13. You're just going to drive Paratrooper crazy if you keep on posting these type of covers, BZ. By the way, out of all your comics...what's your favorite title?
  14. Yep, I remember, those are Shawns scans. That british site took them off discs he made.
  15. I think that story was reprinted in an Archie comic about a year after that. I can't remember which issue, though.
  16. I can't say enough good things about Bob Montana and his contributions to the golden age of comics. He's as responsible as anyone else I can think of, for elevating the comic book to higher level. His creation survived, along with Superman and Batman and Donald Duck and now enjoys a form of iconic status.I just wish that he could transfer to the silver screen. Maybe someday....but if I attempted it, I would do a retro version of his 40's and 50's persona and have the war in the background. It would also be an interesting excercise to break the film up into three seperate realities....the first one would portray him in the 40's...the second in the 50's and the third in the sixties. Oh well, just daydreaming here......
  17. I've always loved those two images of Veronica sunbathing under a sun lamp!
  18. No problem, that's what I thought once I saw the the Quiz. Memory is a funny thing.
  19. Didn't I win one? I'll revise the record book if I find that I've made a mistake. (thumbs u Now I remember...it was the Harry Lucie panel quiz that started on page 495. The only reason I remebered is because I hardly ever win anything. But since it wasn't a cover, it probably doesn't count.
  20. Mine is The Black Hand. From Blue Ribbon 16-22. A short lived villain, but an evil one who gets hanged in issue 22.
