  1. I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop...... or the next photo....
  2. This is getting good. Where's the room where you keep the MLJ's?
  3. This guy's a real collector, from the old school. Watch, listen and learn.
  4. Mr Bannzoom, have you recieved any offers from board members and dealers to buy any of your books? That was suggested by someone, but I find it hard to believe that any board members would try to swoop down on a new poster to try and get his collection. Have you received any high pressure offers from any board members?
  5. I would like to know if you have any Top Notch Comics, they're my favorite comics! Well, they are.
  6. I would have to agree with the value of the collection being at least 1 mil maybe twice that. I'm assuming that bangzoom is savvy enough to know that and is fending off lowball offers on his collection.
  7. Rare to see such high grade copies of those! Congratulations!
  8. Sorry Mr. S, he's already in negotiations with another party.
  9. I'd be curious to hear what kind of offers and PM's Bang Zoom had recieved in the last day or so. I'm sure they're mostly in the form of congratulations for having the nicest collection ever seen in recent memory and offers of pure friendship. I'd like to offer some guidance as to the proper storage of MLJ's, which have different needs over other books. Recent studies have shown that the only safe environment for MLJ's is my comic book closet, with it's unique micro climate, perfect for Archie and his superhero buddies.
  10. We have a new MLJ king on the boards! What other MLJ's do you have?
  11. Why does this thread have only four stars? It's one of the best I've read. Who's the grinch who gave it a rating of less than five stars? This was one of the most positive and uplifting threads I've ever seen.
  12. I get the sense that these still living, brilliant comic book artist are not totaly aware of how significant the work they did is. Do they know that a bunch of us are constantly geeking out over their art? Detective 18 is moving in to my top ten!
  13. Richard's copy seems to have richer colors than the Church copy. Is that an issue with the scan? Both beautiful books.
  14. This has to be one of the nicest threads I've read in a long time, it made me feel good to read it. I'm glad Mr. Flessel had such a positive reaction to the visit. It seemed like good feelings all around. Very nice, FFB and the others are good sports and gentlemen.
  15. That is a great idea! Can any powers on these boards facilitate that?
  16. Reports like this make these boards totally worth it!
  17. The guy on the cover looks a bit like Paul Muni the actor, don't you think? One of the things I got out of reading this is an even greater appreciation for Segal and Schuster. I really like their pre Superman stuff as well as their Superman work. I enjoyed the rest too, but I'm going to leave the reviewing to those who are better at it than I am.
