  1. Can you give more details of how offering returns helps you? I just became a Power Seller. I don’t offer returns but I know this means nothing if a seller really wants to return something. I haven’t been charged listing fees in ages but I’d like to save on FVF. I don’t pay for a store. Thank you
  2. Would @blazingbob really accept a raw submission from someone and handle the logistics or just tell him “mail it in yourself”. I never did understand CGC’s policy of non-members having to “submit” through members. When I did it long ago it just amounted to a site redirection. I didn’t get the point.
  3. Do you mean dropping off raws for CGC grading at Heritage’s Park Ave location? If your intention is to consign and they are nice books I bet they would work with you.
  4. Here is the best way to get your comics into the U.S. from Canada: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jan/31/canada-border-library-gun-smuggling-case
  5. Actually Congress has recently acted on this crisis of people carrying comics in their luggage into the U.S. It’s punishable by up to 30 years in Federal prison and for PGX books, the death penalty. Seriously I never get people’s nervousness in crossing borders. Say you are bringing them to read on vacation or show to your cousin Vincent Z.
  6. Here’s a good story: I was at I think the Carbo show in NYC a few years ago and these two dudes pulled a Hulk 340 out of a dealer’s box and one of them goes “Wow! That’s the first appearance of Wolverine!” This book is famous for collectors of a certain age and I pray by my bedside each night that they’ll all grow out of it.
  7. You are buying collections, cool. Here is a question for you: Do you know how to find publication date in the indicia? Do you know how to google “first appearance of Nightwing”? Two good resources for figuring things like this out.
  8. You have a reprint published 5 years after New Teen Titans 44
  9. The Spirit is amazingly bad. Haven’t watched it since it came out, but I seem to remember about 2/3 of the way through, one character gives a long speech, and the other tells him (and the audience) how boring it was. Well if it was boring, writer, why did you write it?
  10. I seem to remember he didn’t like the -script... a lot of people hate on the Jane Punisher film but I don’t get it. I can watch it over and over
  11. First is my favorite. Remaining in no particular order - Superman ‘78 Avengers Captain America 1 Batman Begins Iron Man 1 Civil War Infinity War V for Vendetta The Rocketeer X-Men Days of Future Past Films I rank much higher than most people do: Thor 1, Punisher ‘04 Films I rank a lower than most: Dark Knight, X-Men 2
  12. Based on the number of books you want to grade and the details you provided, what we have here is a case of someone who may be about to spend a LARGE amount of money on grading fees, only to end up disappointed 5 months down the road when the books come back to you. I’m defining disappointed here as ending up with encased books that are not worth the money you spent to grade them. Several years down the road, if you are still involved in the hobby, you may look back at this submission as a very expensive lesson. 1. If you aren’t already, become confident in your ability to predict the grade CGC will assign your books. Grade your books honestly, accurately and under a bright light. 2. Subscribe to GPA, check recent values, and make sure each book is worth the cost of grading. (There aren’t many books in the time period you mention worth grading in conditions under 9.8). 3. Learn about 3rd party pressing and consider making that part of your strategy. 4. Call comic shops in Burlington VT and see if any of them are CGC member dealers that will help you submit books, then make a day trip down there. After your grading and pricing research, I would pick the 5 best books, start from there, and see what the results are before submitting more, Good luck.
  13. The seller reports it, however not all sellers/sites/auctioneers participate with GPA’s data collection program. A list of those who do is on the GPA home page. The buyer has no part in this. I don’t know what you think you did on GPA’s site, but it may simply have been recording it in your own personal collection.
  14. @HeyJarvis Not worth ruining your reputation here for such an amount. If it were me, I would send Lucid the $15 and ask him to keep or donate the book. At least that way you’re not out shipping cost.
  15. It will be in an upcoming Heritage auction

  19. I would say something similar about another GA milestone, Adventure 256, which I don’t think I’ve seen in higher than Fine. I’ve wondered why this hasn't taken off like a Wonder Woman 98.
  20. Also listed now is Blackhawk #133 CGC 8.5. Second-highest graded copy (the lone 8.5 behind a lone 9.0). Cover scans and video available at link.
  21. I think it’s surpassed ‘rumor’ designation. It’s seeming more likely than not Marvel will begin producing an Eternals film within a year or two.
  22. People are often willing to pay a premium for a guaranteed 9.8. Although, this image doesn’t prove the book’s “value” - all it shows is an ask price
